STAMFORD, Conn. – Feb. 26, 2021 – 2018 Olympic gold medalist and 2021 Tour de Ski champion Jessie Diggins leads Team USA in the 2021 FIS World Nordic Skiing Championships from Oberstdorf, Germany, this weekend across Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and Peacock Premium. The World Championships continue tomorrow with the ski jumping portion of women’s Nordic combined live at 4 a.m. ET on Peacock Premium.

Diggins, who became the first American to ever win the Tour de Ski in January, is joined in the American contingent by 2017 world championship medalist Sadie Maubet Bjornsen and 2018 Olympian Rosie Brennan.

NBC Sports and Peacock Premium’s coverage of the 2020-21 FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup continues this weekend with the women competing in the downhill and Super-G in Val di Fassa, Italy, while Bansko, Bulgaria, plays host to the men’s giant slalom. Coverage details can be found here.

Following her historic performance in the World Championships earlier this month when she captured four medals, including a gold in the alpine combined to bring her career medal total to a record 11, the most-ever for an American skier, Mikaela Shiffrin will aim to win a World Cup title in slalom and giant slalom.

Fellow American and four-time 2020-21 World Cup downhill podium finisher Breezy Johnson will also be competing for World Cup season-long honors.

In addition to cross-country skiing and alpine skiing, NBC Sports and Peacock Premium will offer extensive coverage of five additional skiing and snowboarding sports in March, including Nordic combined, freestyle skiing, snowboarding, ski jumping and biathlon.

In November 2020, it was announced that Peacock Premium is the new home for streaming of winter Olympic sports.
