GAMING SOCIETY AND NBC SPORTS ANNOUNCE CONTENT PARTNERSHIP TO FURTHER WOMEN’S SPORTS VISIBILITY AND ENGAGEMENT

LOS ANGELES, April 14, 2023 – Gaming Society, the new betting education platform, and On Her Turf, NBC Sports’ women’s empowerment brand focused on highlighting women in sports, announced today the launch of a new content partnership aimed to expand editorial coverage for women’s sports and promote the biggest voices and athletes in the industry.

As part of the partnership, Gaming Society and On Her Turf will collaborate on numerous editorial initiatives on both brands’ digital platforms. NBC Sports’ betting vertical NBC Sports EDGE will feature select Gaming Society content. On Her Turf will also be prominently featured on Gaming Society’s Bet on Women newsletter, a weekly email dedicated to highlighting the most influential women athletes while also pushing for equitable betting lines on women’s sports.

On Her Turf will also be the exclusive distribution partner of Gaming Society’s See You in the Lobby series, hosted by Gaming Society execs and women’s basketball thought leaders Marissa Coleman and Matt Ellentuck. The series will be distributed weekly throughout the WNBA season and will give an unfiltered and raw look at the league’s biggest storylines and personalities from those who know it best, including frequent athlete guests.

Additionally, Gaming Society talent and personalities will be regularly featured on NBC Sports EDGE platforms provide insights, commentary, and analysis geared towards women’s sports-focused sports wagering.

NBC SPORTS AND BETMGM LAUNCH PARTNERSHIP TO FEATURE BETTING INTEGRATIONS DURING NFL SEASON

STAMFORD, Conn. (Sept. 21, 2022) – NBC Sports and BetMGM, a leading sports betting operator, today announced a new partnership for the 2022 NFL season, highlighted by weekly integrations on Football Night in America (FNIA) and content across other NBC Sports platforms.

BetMGM integrations on FNIA, the most-watched studio show in sports, will include a weekly segment hosted by former NFL quarterback Chris Simms and sports betting and fantasy pioneer Matthew Berry, which highlights storylines and betting odds for the upcoming Sunday Night Football game on NBC, Peacock and Universo. Real-time betting odds on the scoring ticker during FNIA also will be showcased. Peacock Sunday Night Football Final, an NFL postgame show produced by NBC Sports, will also go deep on the storylines and BetMGM betting lines that proved prominent during the matchup.

    • Additional integrations within Berry’s social media platforms throughout the NFL season, as well providing BetMGM’s platforms with access to Berry for curated boosts.
    • BetMGM integrations within content hosted by Chris Simms, including on the Chris Simms Unbuttoned podcast, as well on his social platforms throughout the 2022 NFL season and during the 2023 NFL Draft.

A Former Sportsbook Head Trader, Croucher will Contribute to Sports Betting Coverage Across NBC Sports

STAMFORD, Conn. (Sept. 14, 2022) – Jay Croucher, who has built a strong betting following in the U.S. as head of trading for PointsBet, has joined NBC Sports full time as a betting analyst.

As lead betting analyst, Croucher will share his expertise on all things sports betting, from futures to finding value in the daily and weekly markets across all sports. Croucher made his first official appearance today as co-host of Bet the Edge, NBC Sports EDGE’s daily sports betting podcast, on the NFL on NBC YouTube channel and available for download on all major podcast platforms. In addition to Bet the Edge, he regularly joins Matthew Berry as a co-host of Fantasy Football Happy Hour with Matthew Berry, weekdays at Noon ET on Peacock and Fantasy Football Pregame with Matthew Berry, Sundays at 11 a.m. ET on Peacock.

Additionally, Croucher will contribute to written content for NBC Sports EDGE’s website and social platforms, as well as contribute to sports betting coverage by NBC Sports’ regional networks and local NBC stations.

A native of Australia, Croucher moved to the U.S. in 2019, halfway through his five-year tenure as head of trading for PointsBet. Previously, he worked in Australia as a lawyer. Along with fantasy sports commentator and industry pioneer Berry, who joined NBC Sports in August, Croucher will help continue to bolster the burgeoning betting and gaming area within the NBC Sports Next subdivision.

Anderson, a highly experienced entertainment and technology attorney who has worked in various aspects of the media and music business for almost 25 years, joins ESPN from The Walt Disney Company Legal, where she has served as vice president and assistant chief counsel.
