ESPN Digital: Best August Ever, No. 1 for 18th Month in a Row

According to recently released Comscore data, ESPN Digital had its best August ever with 112.6 million unique visitors (up 12% YoY), marking its 18th consecutive month at No. 1 in the U.S. sports category.

ESPN Digital Sets New Sports Category Record with 120 Million U.S. Users in October

In October, ESPN Digital set a new record for most unique monthly visitors in the sports category – 120 million. ESPN’s previous best month was January 2020 with a 117.4 million, and the previous sports category record was 118.6 million in July 2021. ESPN Digital also led in total minutes, with more than the second, third and fourth ranked sports networks combined in October. ESPN Digital has recorded its highest number of visitors in nine of the past 10 months.

ESPN Digital Records Second-Highest Month Ever with 116 Million U.S. Users in September

ESPN Digital led the sports category in the month of September, reaching 116 million users – its second-highest month ever behind January 2020 and best September on record. Notably, ESPN’s lead in total minutes increased from 946 million in August to 3.7 billion in September – the largest gap since October 2017. ESPN on YouTube reached 26.5 million unique visitors in September, the second-highest mark ever and the SportsNation YouTube channel nearly tripled its unique visitors from the previous month to 15.2 million.

X Games Summer Competition Returns in 2021 to Multiplatform Success and Significant Growth

In the first summer edition of X Games since 2019, X Games 2021 content across ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC experienced double-digit viewership increases on television and triple-digit growth on @XGames social and digital media platforms. Among all notable age demos, average viewership among 18-24 year-olds saw the largest percent increase.

Inaugural Real Mountain Bike Competition Delivers Highest Audience in Real Series History

Across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat, Real Mountain Bike total video views reached nearly 25 million. In addition, Danny MacAskill’s video part saw the greatest numbers on YouTube where it currently has more than 2.4 million views and reached as high as 29th among trending videos in the United States. Brage Vestavik’s ender section outperformed all previous Real Series content on Instagram and TikTok, delivering 1.3 million views on Instagram Reels and 7.3 million views on TikTok.

Edison Research Survey Results: ESPN Audio Accounts for Over Half of All Sports Listening

ESPN Audio was recently part of the 2019 Share of the Ear from Edison Research – a nationally representative study of over 4,000 people that measures their time spent listening. The survey found that the network accounts for 54 percent of all sports listening, an increase of 23 percent from the 2018 survey results.

New NBA-Focused Series Premieres on NBC Sports’ YouTube Channel

STAMFORD, Conn. – Oct. 25, 2019 – NBC Sports’ newest digital series “Off the Dribble,” debuts today on NBC Sports’ YouTube Channel. The NBA-focused show premieres alongside the start of the NBA season this week, and will premiere every Friday throughout the year.

Hosted by content creator and NBA fanatic Jacques Slade, “Off the Dribble” dives into all things NBA each week. From sneakers to burner accounts, the show will cover all things in the modern NBA, with a classic nostalgic vibe. Slade will be joined by a variety of correspondents, including fashion experts, athletes across the League, and a range of YouTube personalities. Each ten-minute episode will explore and break down the biggest trends and viral content across the Internet.

In the premiere episode, Slade covers all the action from the start of the NBA season, including the Clippers’ win for LA over the Lakers, the best fashion looks, and more. He is also joined by sneaker and NBA maven Russ Bengston to dive into the latest trends and news around the league.
