STAMFORD, Conn. – March 20, 2024 – NBC Sports presents the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES $1 Million Challenge from The Thermal Club at the base of the Santa Rosa mountains outside of Palm Springs, Calif., this Sunday at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock, headlining NBC Sports’ motorsports coverage this weekend.

NBC Sports’ exclusive coverage of the 2024 SuperMotocross World Championship series and Monster Energy Supercross season continues this weekend from Lumen Field in Seattle. Wa., on Saturday live at 8 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock.

 

INDYCAR: $1 MILLION CHALLENGE AT THE THERMAL CLUB

The Thermal Club – a private, world-class facility known as the ultimate destination for motorsports enthusiasts – will open its gates for the $1 Million Challenge this weekend across NBC and Peacock, as top NTT INDYCAR SERIES drivers will showcase their skills in this unique event that features the series’ largest purse for a race outside of the Indy 500 in more than two decades.

Reigning Indianapolis 500 champion and two-time INDYCAR champion Josef Newgarden, who won the season-opening race on the streets of St. Petersburg, headlines the field which includes two-time INDYCAR champion Alex Palou. six-time series champion Scott Dixon, and two-time series champion Will Power.

The format of the $1 Million Challenge will begin with testing on Friday and Saturday, leading into qualifying on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock. Sunday’s coverage on NBC and Peacock will include two heat races to determine the 12-car field that will compete in $1 Million Challenge’s “Sprint for the Purse.”

NBC Sports’ lead INDYCAR commentary team of Leigh Diffey (play-by-play), Townsend Bell (analyst) and James Hinchcliffe (analyst) will call the event. Marty Snider and Kevin Lee will provide reports from pit road.

MONSTER ENERGY SUPERCROSS: SEATTLE

The 2024 SuperMotocross World Championship series and Monster Energy Supercross season continues this weekend from Lumen Field in Seattle, Wa., on Saturday live at 8 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock. This will be the first Supercross race in Alabama since 1984.

Last week in Indianapolis, Jett Lawrence (210 pts) won his third consecutive race and fifth race of the season to extend his lead atop the 450SX Class standings over Cooper Webb (189 pts) and Chase Sexton (185 pts). Levi Kitchen (106 pts) currently leads the 250SX West standings over Jordon Smith (102 pts) and R.J. Hampshire (101 pts).

2024 Monster Energy Supercross Season Continues from Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Ala., this Saturday Live at 7 p.m. ET Exclusively on Peacock

STAMFORD, Conn. – March 5, 2024 – NBC Sports presents the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season opener at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg (Fla.) this Sunday live at 12 p.m. ET on NBC, Peacock, and Universo. Pre-race coverage leads into race coverage getting underway at 12:30 p.m. ET. Six of the first eight races will air on NBC to begin the season. Peacock is once again the one-stop-shop for INDYCAR fans this season, streaming all races as well as exclusive coverage of nearly all qualifying and practice sessions.

Reigning and two-time INDYCAR champion Alex Palou is part of a star-studded group of drivers in the series’ paddock that includes six-time champion Scott Dixon, two-time champion and reigning Indianapolis 500 champion Josef Newgarden, two-time series champion Will Power, and 2023 Rookie of the Year Marcus Armstrong, among others. 2022 Indianapolis 500 champion Marcus Ericsson looks to defend his victory at last season’s Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

NBC Sports’ lead INDYCAR commentary team of Leigh Diffey (play-by-play), Townsend Bell (analyst) and James Hinchcliffe (analyst) will call the race. Hinchcliffe won the St. Petersburg race 11 years ago in 2013, which marked his first career INDYCAR victory. Marty Snider, Georgia Henneberry, and Kevin Lee will provide reports from pit road.

Live coverage of qualifying, practice sessions and race-day warmups from St. Petersburg Friday-Sunday will stream exclusively on Peacock. The INDY NXT by Firestone season opening race will also be presented from St. Petersburg on Sunday at 10 a.m. ET on Peacock. The 2024 SuperMotocross World Championship series and Monster Energy Supercross season continues this weekend from Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Ala., on Saturday live at 7 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock. This will be the first Supercross race in Alabama since 1984.

2024 Season of Supercross Racing Kicks Off with Four Consecutive Weeks of Competition in California

Peacock to Stream All Races, Qualifying and Heats Live Across the 2024 Supercross Season, Including 17 Exclusive Live Rounds

STAMFORD, Conn. – Jan. 3, 2024 – The 2024 SuperMotocross World Championship series and Monster Energy Supercross season begins this Saturday, Jan. 6 from Angel Stadium of Anaheim in California, starting live at 7:30 p.m. ET with exclusive pre-race coverage on Peacock followed by the race at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock and USA Network. The 2024 season of Supercross racing kicks off with four consecutive weeks of Supercross races taking place in California, with stops in San Francisco and San Diego, as well.

Saturday’s race is headlined by reigning SuperMotocross 450 world champion Jett Lawrence, who will be making his Supercross debut in the premier class. 2022 Supercross and Pro Motocross champion Eli Tomac, in his return from an Achilles injury, two-time Supercross champion Cooper Webb, 2023 Monster Energy 450 Supercross Champion Chase Sexton, and Jett’s older brother, Hunter Lawrence, who will be starting his rookie year in the 450 class, are all set to compete in the 450SX class.

In the Western Regional 250SX Class, 2023 SMX 250 runner-up Jo Shimoda, beginning his first season with Honda, and 2023 Western Regional 250SX Class runner-up RJ Hampshire each vie for their first title in a competitive field.

STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 20, 2023 – NBC Sports, Peacock, and the SMX League announced the 2024 SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) broadcast and streaming schedule, including the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship and Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing. All 31 rounds across the series, including exclusive live coverage of qualifiers, heats, Main Events and Motos will be presented on Peacock, NBC, USA Network, CNBC, and NBC Sports digital platforms.

Peacock is the home of the SuperMotocross World Championship Series in 2024, presenting comprehensive live coverage of all qualifying, heats, Main Events and Motos across both Supercross and Pro Motocross, spanning 31 rounds from January to September 2024. 17 races will livestream exclusively on Peacock. The platform will also provide on-demand replays of every race. Qualifiers and heats will be available exclusively on Peacock for every race throughout the season.

2024 marks the second year of the SuperMotocross World Championship Finals, fueled by Monster Energy which unified both disciplines of Supercross and Pro Motocross. The SMX World Championship culminates in a series-ending postseason playoff style of racing that features the best racers in the world competing for the sport’s ultimate title.

NBC Sports’ 2024 SuperMotocross World Championship coverage begins in under a month with the Monster Energy Supercross season opener from Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., live on Saturday, Jan. 6, at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock and USA Network. An encore presentation will air the following day on Sunday, Jan. 7, on NBC at 2 p.m. ET and on Sunday, Jan. 8, on CNBC at 1 a.m. ET. CNBC will air a next-day encore for all 31 rounds across the series in 2024.

The 2024 Pro Motocross season begins with the Fox Raceway National in Pala, Calif., on Saturday, May 25, at 4 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock.

The much-anticipated second annual SuperMotocross World Championship will culminate with two SuperMotocross World Championship Playoff rounds and the SuperMotocross World Championship Final. SMX Playoff 1 will be presented on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 3 p.m. ET on Peacock with an encore presentation on NBC at 4 p.m. ET the following day, followed by SMX Playoff 2 on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 3 p.m. ET on Peacock and then at 6 p.m. ET same day delayed on USA Network.

The SuperMotocross World Championship Final will be presented on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 10 p.m. ET on Peacock, with an encore presentation on NBC at 1 p.m. ET the following day. Locations for all Playoff and Final events will be announced in January.

The 2024 SuperMotocross commentary team will consist of Leigh Diffey and Jason Weigandt as play-by-play, 15-time AMA champion Ricky Carmichael and seven-time AMA champion James Stewart as analysts, with Will Christien, former veteran racer Jason Thomas, and Katie Osborne as reporters.

Race Day Live will cover all 31 rounds of the SuperMotocross World Championship series exclusively on Peacock. Dan Hubbard and Justin Brayton will serve as hosts of the pre-race program, along with Steven “Lurch” Scott, Haley Shanley, and Osborne as reporters.

A SuperMotocross World Championship one-hour preview special airs Saturday, Dec. 30, at 4 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock, headlined by appearances from 2023 SuperMotocross 450 World Champion Jett Lawrence, who will be making his Supercross debut in the premier class, and 2023 SuperMotocross 250 World Champion Haiden Deegan. SUPERMOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

The first-ever SuperMotocross World Championship Playoffs conclude this Saturday at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network and Peacock with the 2023 SuperMotocross World Championship Final from Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, Calif. An exclusive Peacock pre-game show begins at 9:30 p.m. ET.

In the 450 class, Chase Sexton leads last week’s overall winner Jett Lawrence by two points and both racers enter the finale in a winner-take-all scenario for the premier class championship. Ken Roczen (3rd), Aaron Plessinger (4th), and Dylan Ferrandis (5th) also have a chance to win the title.

In the 250 class it is another winner-take-all situation as Chicagoland winner Hunter Lawrence leads Jo Shimoda and Haiden Deegan. Whomever finishes in front of the other two will become the first-ever 250 SMX World Champion.

Leigh Diffey will handle play-by-play alongside two motorsports icons in seven-time AMA Motocross Premier Class champion and five-time AMA Supercross Premier Class champion Ricky Carmichael and two-time AMA Supercross Premier Class 450 champion and 2008 Pro Motocross champion James Stewart.

INDYCAR: FIRESTONE GRAND PRIX OF MONTEREY

The final race of the 2023 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season, the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey, will be presented from WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC, Peacock and Universo. 2023 Pro Motocross Season Continues with High Point National Saturday at 1 p.m. ET Exclusively on Peacock

MotoGP German Grand Prix Presented Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET on CNBC

STAMFORD, Conn. – June 14, 2023 – USA Network and Peacock serve as the home of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES the next three races, beginning this weekend with the Sonsio Grand Prix at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis., Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Peacock is the streaming home of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, presenting all races, qualifying and practices this season.

USA Network and Peacock will also present the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio on Sunday, July 2, at 1:30 p.m. ET. The following INDYCAR race, the Honda Indy Toronto, from the streets of Toronto will stream exclusively on Peacock on Sunday, July 16, at 1:30 p.m. ET.

2021 INDYCAR champion Alex Palou (273 pts) won the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix earlier this month to earn his second victory of the season and leads the 2023 points standings through seven races. 2022 Indianapolis 500 winner Marcus Ericsson (222 pts) and 2023 Indianapolis 500 winner and two-time series champion Josef Newgarden (203 pts) round out the top three. Newgarden won last year’s race at Road America with Palou earning the victory on the road circuit in 2021.

Live coverage of qualifying and practice sessions from the 14-turn road circuit Friday and Saturday will stream exclusively on Peacock. The INDY NXT by Firestone race Sunday from Road America will also stream on Peacock. NBC Sports’ lead INDYCAR commentary team of Leigh Diffey (play-by-play), Townsend Bell (analyst) and James Hinchcliffe (analyst) will call the race. Kevin Lee and Dillon Welch will provide reports from pit road. Coverage airing on USA Network will also stream live on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix marked NBC Sports’ most-watched INDYCAR race since the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg season opener with a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) of 1.098 million viewers and was the second most-streamed INDYCAR race on record (excluding Indianapolis 500s and Peacock exclusive races). The 2023 Pro Motocross Championship season continues with the High Point National this Saturday from High Point Raceway in Mount Morris, Pa., at 1 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock.

Jett and Hunter Lawrence increased their winning streaks to three to begin the Pro Motocross campaign with victories in the 450 Class and 250 Class, respectively, at Thunder Valley last Saturday.
