STAMFORD, Conn. – Jan. 25, 2023 – NBC Sports begins its coverage of the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season with comprehensive live coverage of the 61st Rolex 24 At Daytona endurance race from Daytona International Speedway this weekend on Peacock, NBC, and USA Network.

The Rolex 24 At Daytona features icons of the racing world competing on teams across five separate classes of competition: Grand Touring Prototype (GTP), Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2), Le Mans Prototype 3 (LMP3), GT Daytona Pro (GTD PRO), and GT Daytona (GTD).

This year’s race features a star-studded cast of the world’s most well-known drivers competing, including Helio Castroneves, Scott Dixon, Austin Cindric, Josef Newgarden, Colton Herta, Simon Pagenaud, Scott McLaughlin, and Romain Grosjean. Castroneves is aiming for his third straight Rolex 24 victory in the GTP class with Meyer Shank Racing.

In order to handle the 24 hours of coverage, NBC Sports will utilize 14 of its IMSA, NASCAR and INDYCAR commentators, analysts and reporters on-site at Daytona International Speedway, including its lead IMSA commentating team of play-by-play voice Leigh Diffey alongside 1990 Rolex 24 winner and former IMSA GT driver and analyst Calvin Fish and 2014 Rolex 24 winner and analyst Townsend Bell. Brian Till will also serve as an analyst during the endurance race.

Steve Letarte and fellow NBC Sports NASCAR analyst Jeff Burton will join INDYCAR analyst James Hinchcliffe and Marty Snider to provide analysis and anchor coverage from the Peacock Pit Box on pit road.

Kevin Lee, Parker Kligerman, Dillon Welch, Hannah Newhouse, and Georgia Henneberry will serve as pit reporters throughout the race. Dave Burns and Lee will also serve as play-by-play commentators.

MONSTER ENERGY SUPERCROSS: ANAHEIM 2

The 2023 Monster Energy Supercross season concludes its California swing this weekend from Angel Stadium of Anaheim in California live on Saturday at 10 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock. The race will be the first Triple Crown event of the year where three races will determine the champions in the 450SX and 250SX classes.

Reigning Supercross champion Eli Tomac earned his second consecutive victory in the 450SX Class last week in San Diego while Jett Lawrence also won his second straight race in the Western Regional 250SX Class. Saturday’s race will mark the second visit to Anaheim for the series following the season opener on January 7.

NASCAR HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY

The NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2023 Induction Ceremony is presented this Friday live at 8 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock. 2003 Cup Champion and two-time Daytona 500 winner Matt Kenseth, 1986 NASCAR West Series champion Hershel McGriff, and Kirk Shelmerdine, a four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion serving as a crew chief for fellow Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt, make up the 13th annual NASCAR Hall of Fame class.

Friday’s two-hour ceremony will also recognize executive Mike Helton with the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR. STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 20, 2022 – NBC Sports, Peacock and the SuperMotocross League announced the 2023 SuperMotocross World Championship schedule, including the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship and Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing. A record 31 events across the series, including exclusive live coverage of Main Event races, qualifiers, and heats, will be presented on Peacock, NBC, USA Network, CNBC, and NBC Sports digital platforms.

Peacock becomes the home of the SuperMotocross World Championship series in 2023 presenting live coverage of all races, qualifying, and heats across both Supercross and Pro Motocross spanning 31 events from January to October 2023. 23 races will live stream exclusively on Peacock, including one SuperMotocross World Championship Playoff event. The platform will also provide on-demand replays of every race.

2023 marks the first year of the SuperMotocross League which unifies Supercross and Pro Motocross and presents the season-ending SuperMotocross World Championship with the top racers in the world competing for a title in a new style of racing that features the best that both indoor stadium and outdoor motocross seasons have to offer.

NBC Sports’ 2023 SuperMotocross World Championship and Monster Energy Supercross race action begins in under a month with the season opener from Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., live on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 10 p.m. ET on Peacock and USA Network. An encore presentation will air the following day on Sunday, Jan. 8, on NBC at 2 p.m. ET and on CNBC at 1 a.m. ET. CNBC will air a next-day encore for all 31 races across both series in 2023.

The 2023 Pro Motocross season begins with the Fox Raceway National in Pala, Calif., on Saturday, May 27, at 4 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock.

The much-anticipated newly formed SuperMotocross World Championship will culminate with two SuperMotocross World Championship Playoff events and the SuperMotocross World Championship Final. SMX Playoff 1 will be presented on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 3 p.m. ET on Peacock and USA Network followed by SMX Playoff 2 on Saturday, Sept. 23, in primetime at 8 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock.

The inaugural SuperMotocross World Championship Final will be presented from the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 10 p.m. ET on Peacock and USA Network.

The 2023 SuperMotocross commentary team will consist of Leigh Diffey, Todd Harris, Daniel Blair, and Jason Weigandt as play-by-play announcers across all 31 events. 15-time AMA champion Ricky Carmichael and seven-time AMA champion James Stewart will serve as analysts throughout the year while Blair, Will Christien, and former veteran racer Jason Thomas will provide on-track reports.

Race Day Live will expand in 2023 to cover all 31 races of the SuperMotocross World Championship series exclusively on Peacock. Dan Hubbard and Daniel Blair will serve as hosts of the pre-race program, which will feature 2.5 hours of coverage for each Supercross event, one hour for each Pro Motocross event, and 2.5 hours for both SuperMotocross Playoff events and the SuperMotocross World Championship Final.

A SuperMotocross World Championship one-hour preview special airs Sunday, Jan. 1, at 5 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock, featuring appearances from reigning Supercross and Pro Motocross champion Eli Tomac, Supercross champion Jason Anderson, two-time Supercross champion Cooper Webb, Pro Motocross champion Ken Roczen, rising star Chase Sexton, and Australian brothers Jett and Hunter Lawrence as they prepare for the upcoming 2023 season.

Record 31 Combined Supercross, Pro Motocross and SuperMotocross Races Across NBC Sports Platforms in 2023

PALMETTO, Fla., and STAMFORD, Conn. – Oct. 4, 2022 – As part of a multi-year media rights extension between NBC Sports and Feld Motor Sports that was announced today, Peacock will become the home of the Supercross and Pro Motocross series, including the newly-formed SuperMotocross World Championship. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Spanning 31 races from January 2023 to October 2023, Peacock will present live coverage of all races, qualifying, and heats across both series. The 31 total races will mark a record for the combined number of Supercross and Pro Motocross events that NBC Sports will present in a single season.

Peacock will exclusively stream at least 20 Supercross and Pro Motocross races live and serve as the exclusive streaming home of qualifying, heats and full-event replays. Click here to learn more about Peacock.

NBC, USA Network and CNBC will provide coverage of all races, including the SuperMotocross World Championship Playoffs and Final, throughout 2023 and beyond. The inaugural SuperMotocross World Championship Final will be presented on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, live on Peacock and USA Network.

NBC Sports’ Todd Harris and 450SX Class rider Adam Cianciarulo will anchor a special 30-minute pre-race show featuring opening ceremonies and rider introductions at 7:30 p.m. ET, leading into race coverage beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

Eli Tomac won the 450SX Class title and became the oldest champion at age 29 in the sport’s history last week in Denver. Tomac is not expected to race this weekend. The final championship of the season will be decided Saturday in the 250SX Class Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Showdown with Christian Craig and Hunter Lawrence vying for the Western Regional 250SX Class championship. Craig currently sits atop the standings with an 18-point advantage and will win his first career Supercross title with a 14th-place finish or better.

STAMFORD, Conn. – April 7, 2022 – The 2022 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season continues with live coverage of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach in California this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. A post-race show will be presented immediately following race coverage featuring driver interviews, analysis and the podium ceremony at approximately 5:30 p.m. ET. Extended post-race coverage will be presented exclusively on Peacock beginning at 6 p.m. ET. The race marks the third of six races airing on NBC to begin the season.

Reigning INDYCAR champion Alex Palou is part of a star-studded group of drivers that includes six-time INDYCAR champion Scott Dixon, two-time INDYCAR champion Josef Newgarden, seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson, four-time and defending Indianapolis 500 champion Helio Castroneves, and former Formula One racer Romain Grosjean, among others. Newgarden won the XPEL 375 at Texas Motor Speedway in the series’ last race on March 20, with Scott McLaughlin and Marcus Ericsson rounding out the podium. McLaughlin currently leads the standings (97 pts). Colton Herta won last year’s edition of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.

The lead INDYCAR commentary team of Leigh Diffey (play-by-play), Townsend Bell (analyst) and James Hinchcliffe (analyst), who won the Grand Prix in 2017, will call the race. Marty Snider, Dave Burns, and Kevin Lee will provide reports from pit road.

Live coverage of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Grand Prix of Long Beach in California gets underway this Saturday at 5 p.m. ET on USA Network and Peacock with the 100-minute race featuring three car classes in competition: Daytona Prototype international (DPi), GT Daytona (GTD), and Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD PRO).

MOTOGP: GRAND PRIX OF THE AMERICAS

The fourth race of the 2022 MotoGP season is presented live this weekend with the Grand Prix of the Americas from Circuit of the Americas Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Coverage will also feature the Moto2 race, where three Americans (Joe Roberts, Cameron Beaubier, and Sean Dylan Kelly) will aim to become the first American to win in the intermediate class since 1991. Parker Kligerman will anchor the live 90-minute program. Aleix Espargaro currently leads the premier class points standings after his first MotoGP victory in his 200th career start at the Argentinian Grand Prix last weekend.

MONSTER ENERGY SUPERCROSS: ST. LOUIS

Round 13 of the 2022 Monster Energy Supercross season is presented this weekend from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Mo., live in primetime on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET with a 30-minute pre-race show leading into race coverage at 8 p.m. ET on CNBC and Peacock. The race will mark the final Triple Crown event of the season. NBC Sports’ Supercross play-by-play commentator Todd Harris and reporter Daniel Blair preview the race here.

Eli Tomac won his fifth consecutive 450SX Class race of the season in Round 12 in Seattle and moved into a tie for fourth on the all-time wins list with Chad Reed with 44 career wins. The Eastern Regional 250SX Class returns to action in St. Louis, where Jett Lawrence will aim to win his fourth straight race.
