STAMFORD, Conn. – Jan. 6, 2021 – NBC Sports and Feld Motor Sports have announced the 2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross telecast schedule, as NBC Sports will present all 17 Supercross stops in 2021, highlighted by live coverage of all Supercross Heats, Last Chance Qualifiers and Main Events across NBC, NBCSN, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, and Peacock Premium.

Peacock Premium will offer a comprehensive one-stop-shop package of events that will include Supercross qualifiers and races live and on-demand replays without commercial interruption.

The Supercross 2021 season one-hour preview special will air Saturday, Jan. 9, at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC, featuring appearances from reigning Supercross Champion Eli Tomac, Ken Roczen, Cooper Webb, Justin Barcia and Zach Osborne as they prepare for the gate to drop in Houston. Encore presentations of the program will be presented on Sunday, Jan. 10, at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN and Monday, Jan. 11, at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

NBC Sports’ 2021 Supercross race action begins with the season opener from NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, Jan. 16, live at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN, marking the first time the series will begin the season outside of California in 25 years.

Veteran NBC Sports motorsports commentators Leigh Diffey and Todd Harris will handle play-by-play duties for this season’s Supercross coverage. They’ll be joined by five-time Supercross champion and seven-time premiere class Motocross champion Ricky Carmichael, host and former racer Daniel Blair, and reporter Will Christien.

The 2021 season will culminate with the season finale from Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Saturday, May 1, at 10 p.m. ET on NBCSN, with an encore presentation airing on Sunday, May 2, on NBC at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Eli Tomac currently leads the championship standings in the premier 450SX Class with 226 points, trailed closely by Ken Roczen (223 points) and reigning class champion Cooper Webb (197 points). Tomac on the excitement of Supercross: “How far we jump our motorcycles and the raw competition itself. We have really good energy in our sport from green flag to checkered (flag).”

STAMFORD, Conn. – May 15, 2020 – NBC Sports will present comprehensive live coverage of the remainder of the 2020 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season, beginning on Sunday, May 31, on NBC and NBCSN at 3 p.m. ET.

All seven races will take place at Rice–Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, and will be shown live across NBC, NBCSN, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, and NBC Sports Gold – NBC Sports Digital’s direct-to-consumer live streaming product.

Veteran play-by-play commentator Ralph Sheheen, five-time Supercross champion and seven-time Motocross champion Ricky Carmichael, host and former racer Daniel Blair, and reporter Will Christien will call the remaining seven races.

Eli Tomac is currently atop the 450SX Class championship standings with 226 points, trailed closely by Ken Roczen (223 points) and reigning Supercross Champion Cooper Webb (197 points). In the 250SX East Class, Chase Sexton leads Shane McElrath by 10 points.

On Wednesday, Roczen was a guest on Lunch Talk Live on NBCSN hosted by Mike Tirico, where he discussed a potential resumption of the 2020 season.

Roczen on the return to racing: “When we start back up racing, there’s going to be a lot of racing all in a row … with little time off … I am definitely ready whenever we are ready to go.”

The inaugural Monster Energy Supercross E SX event, presented by Toyota, will air tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The event features 14 riders competing in the 450SX Class and 250SX Class at virtual Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. in Monster Energy Supercross – Official Video Game 3.

STAMFORD, Conn. – March 11, 2020 – NBC Sports begins coverage of the 2020 NTT INDYCAR Series this weekend with comprehensive live coverage of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, which airs this Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Pre-race coverage on NBCSN begins Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET with Countdown to Green.

A field of 26 drivers are expected in St. Petersburg, led by Josef Newgarden (Team Penske), who won there last year to begin his successful run to a second NTT INDYCAR Series championship. The field also has six past Indianapolis 500 winners – including Newgarden’s teammate and 2019 ‘500’ winner Simon Pagenaud – and a talented group of young stars that’s spearheaded by 2019 INDYCAR rookie of the year Felix Rosenqvist (Chip Ganassi Racing) and American Colton Herta (Andretti Harding Steinbrenner Autosport), who won twice in his own rookie campaign last year.

Live INDYCAR coverage from St. Pete begins this Friday with two practice sessions (11:15 a.m. ET and 2:50 p.m. ET) exclusively on NBC Sports Gold’s INDYCAR Pass, which will provide live streaming coverage of all practices, qualifying, Indy Lights races and on-demand replays for the 2020 NTT IndyCar Series. 2020 INDYCAR SEASON ON NBC AND NBCSN

NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2020 NTT INDYCAR SERIES begins on Sunday, March 15, on NBCSN with live coverage of the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, the first of 17 races to air on NBC and NBCSN during the season.

The 104th Running of the Indianapolis 500, set for Sunday, May 24, 2020, will mark the second appearance ever on NBC. Last year, NBC Sports’ inaugural presentation of the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” on NBC, averaged a TAD of 5.475 million viewers, up 11% vs. the 2018 race (TV-only 4.913 million, ABC).

INDYCAR coverage on NBC will begin with the Grand Prix of Indianapolis on Saturday, May 9. Following the Indy 500, NBC will present the Detroit Dual races from the Raceway at Belle Isle Park on the weekend of May 30-31, followed by races at Road America in Kohler, Wis., on Sunday, June 21, and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, on Sunday, August 16. Monster Jam Season Continues Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN

STAMFORD, Conn. – March 5, 2020 – NBC Sports continues its coverage of the 2020 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season this Saturday from Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla., at 7:30 p.m. ET, live on NBCSN. This race will mark the 50th anniversary of the Daytona Supercross event, the longest continuous Supercross race in America dating back to 1971.

Ken Roczen earned his third win of the season last Saturday in Atlanta and is now tied for the 450SX Class lead with Eli Tomac (200 points each). Both Roczen and Tomac are chasing their first premier-class Supercross title and are clear 23 points of third-place Justin Barcia (177 points) in the standings. In the 250SX Class, Chase Sexton earned his second consecutive win of the season in Atlanta and leads the standings by five points over Shane McElrath.

Veteran play-by-play commentator Ralph Sheheen, five-time Supercross champion and seven-time Motocross champion Ricky Carmichael, host and former racer Daniel Blair, and reporter Will Christien will call the action.

In addition, Carmichael and 2019 INDYCAR Champion Josef Newgarden will call in to tonight’s episode of NASCAR America MotorMouths at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Carmichael will discuss the upcoming Daytona Supercross race, which he won five times in his career. He is also the Daytona Supercross’ course designer for the 13th consecutive year. Defending INDYCAR champion Newgarden will preview the upcoming INDYCAR season ahead of the opening Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, next Sunday, March 15, at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
