** In Day 3 foursomes matches, Team U.S.A. won one match, Team International won one match and two matches where halved.**

** Team U.S.A. leads Team International 7.5 to 6.5 going into the Day 3 afternoon four-ball matches.**

** Live coverage of Day 3 afternoon four-ball matches continues now on Golf Channel.**

Day 3 foursomes matches results
Grace/Oosthuizen       3&2                 Fowler/Reed
Holmes/Watson           halved             Leishman/Scott
Haas/Kuchar               halved             Bae/Matsuyama
Johnson/Spieth            1 up                 Day/Schwartzel

Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth speaking to Golf Channel’s Steve Sands following their match
Jordan Spieth – “Your blood is running. It is running through your hands, you know it’s there. I picked up a great trigger at East Lake on those kind of putts that I normally push out to the right, where I can really stay down through the ball. I’m looking at a spot just in front of the ball. It allows me to get over the tension in my hands and just make a nice, solid stroke over that point. We could have made it a little easier from 90 yards out. I could have gotten us below the hole, but man what a comeback we had there, that was some great fight. That was a huge point in the Presidents Cup right there.”
Dustin Johnson – “We knew we were playing good. We hit great shots on the front nine and we didn’t make a bogey all day. We knew we were playing solid. We were hitting it in the right spots and we were getting good looks at it. They just weren’t rolling in. Finally, on the back nine we made some putts and made some saves coming down the stretch.”

On Louis Oosthuizen and Branden Grace defeating Patrick Reed and Rickie Fowler 3&2
Tom Abbott – “They [Oosthuizen and Grace] are the dream team so far this week.”
Notah Begay – “They have been flawless, picking each other up in each of their matches.”
Begay – “Only fitting for him [Oosthuizen] to close this out, he has been so solid today.”
Gary Koch – “The duo is 3-0 and clearly the stars for nick price’s international team.”
Terry Gannon – “Fowler was in the zone the first day and a half. The putts since then have not been able to find the hole.”

On J.B. Holmes and Bubba Watson halving their match with Marc Leishman and Adam Scott after Watson missed a five-foot putt on 18 to win the match
Dan Hicks – “Oh and he pushed it outside the left.”
Johnny Miller – “Wow, the great escape.”
Miller – “That was a dead straight putt, Bubba.”
Curt Byrum – “He [Holmes] has really improved his short iron play.”
Jerry Foltz – “It shocks me he [Watson] doesn’t break a driver every day.”
Miller – “I think he [Holmes] has made the most putts out of anybody this week so far.”

On Bill Haas and Matt Kuchar halving their match with Sang-Moon Bae and Hideki Matsuyama
Hicks – “Sang-Moon Bae continuing his electric play from last night. He loves this course. Knows it well and has used it to his advantage.”
Miller – “He’s a crowd favorite here in Korea, and he is really getting the crowd going.”
Miller – “Internationals have had the great escape the last couple of matches on 18.”

On Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth defeating Jason Day and Charl Schwartzel 1 up
Hicks – “Spieth at 17. Spieth at 18. The U.S., for the 24th consecutive session, will have the lead at the Presidents Cup.
Miller – “Another Spieth clutch putt.”
Hicks – “Crazy how this came down to down to Day and Spieth on 18. Two guys who have just owned the world of golf this summer.”
Nobilo – “Anytime you put world number one and world number two in the same group, you will get a different dynamic.”
Nobilo – “He [Spieth] has a point to prove today.”
Hicks – “Doesn’t get much better than this, the top two players in the world battling it out.”
Miller – “If Spieth caddied for Dustin he might already be number one in the world.”
Hicks – “He [Spieth] leaves no stone unturned. Spieth and Greller are 100 percent into everything they do.”

On Schwartzel’s 2nd shot out of the bunker on 18 that stayed in the bunker when the match was all square
Hicks – “Disaster.”
Miller – “That was just a mis-hit.”
