All Olympic Sports Coverage Across NBC Sports Platforms is Presented by Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA

STAMFORD, Conn. – August 21, 2020 – NBC Sports continues its Diamond League track & field coverage with the series’ second non-exhibition event of the season in Stockholm, Sweden, this Sunday, August 23 live at 10 a.m. ET, exclusively on NBC Sports Gold’s “Track and Field Pass,” with television coverage later that night at 8 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.

Americans expected to headline the action in Stockholm are reigning world champions Donavan Brazier (800m) and pole vaulter Sam Kendricks, who also won a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, along with 2019 world silver medalist Raevyn Rogers in the women’s 800m. Last weekend, Brazier won the men’s 800m at the Diamond League opener in Monaco. All three athletes plan on competing in their signature events. For full entry list, click here.

Paul Swangard handles the call, joined by analysts – four-time Olympic medalist Ato Boldon and 2012 Olympian and two-time world bronze medalist Alysia Montaño, who is known for her advocacy work supporting women pursuing careers and motherhood simultaneously.

NBC Sports’ coverage of the Stockholm Diamond League meet will also include a conversation between Montaño and three-time U.S. Olympian Shannon Rowbury, who discusses postpartum training and competing as well as structural challenges in sports for athletes who are mothers. Rowbury will be racing in the women’s 1500m in Stockholm.

STAMFORD, Conn. – August 12, 2020 – NBC Sports begins track & field coverage this week on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA with the Diamond League’s first non-exhibition event of the season in Monaco, live this Friday, August 14, at 2 p.m. ET, while also presenting Best of 2019: Track & Field today, Wednesday, August 12 at 4:30 p.m. ET. The Monaco competition will also stream live Friday on NBC Sports Gold’s “Track and Field Pass and NBCSN will present encore coverage this Saturday, August 15 at 10 p.m. ET.

Americans expected to compete in Friday’s Monaco competition are reigning world champions Noah Lyles (200m), Donavan Brazier (800m), Grant Holloway (110m hurdles), and pole vaulter Sam Kendricks, who also won a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. All four athletes plan on competing in the events in which they won world titles last fall.

Today’s special, hosted by NBC Sports play-by-play announcer Leigh Diffey, highlights five world titles, two world records, and two American records among six U.S. track & field stars during the 2019 season. STAMFORD, Conn. – July 7, 2020 – The most decorated American woman in Olympic track & field history Allyson Felix, reigning 200m world champion Noah Lyles, and reigning Olympic and world 400m hurdles champion Dalilah Muhammad headline live coverage of the Zurich Inspiration Games this Thursday, July 9 at 2 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. NBCSN will air an encore presentation Thursday at 5:30 p.m. ET.

With the Diamond League season unable to go ahead as traditionally planned due to the COVID-19 crisis, Zurich, Switzerland, will host the innovative live event with 30 track & field superstars competing across eight disciplines, spanning seven stadiums (including Zurich’s Letzigrund Stadium) and two continents (Europe and North America), featuring two locations in the United States (Walnut, Calif. and Bradenton, Fla.).

Felix, Lyles, Muhammad, two-time Olympic triple jump gold medalist Christian Taylor, and 2016 Olympic medal-winning pole vaulters Sandi Morris and Sam Kendricks highlight the Americans expected to compete. Felix will compete in the 150m, Muhammad will race the 300m hurdles, while Lyles, Taylor, Morris and Kendricks will compete in their signature events.
