STAMFORD, Conn. – Feb. 22, 2024 – NBC Sports presents coverage of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup from Palisades Tahoe in Olympic Valley, Calif., this weekend, with giant slalom and slalom races live Saturday and Sunday on CNBC and Peacock. The action begins with the first run of the men’s giant slalom on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 1 p.m. ET on CNBC and Peacock.

Palisades Tahoe is one of the most prestigious skiing venues in the country, hosting the 1960 Winter Olympics where biathlon and women’s speed skating debuted as Olympic events and Team USA earned 10 medals . Since then, Palisades Tahoe has hosted numerous World Cup events and has proven to be one of the most challenging courses in the United States. Mikaela Shiffrin, the winningest skier in FIS Alpine Ski World Cup history, recently called it “one of the toughest” venues on the World Cup schedule.

This weekend’s slate of competition is exclusively men’s slalom and giant slalom races. Team USA is expected to be led by Beijing Olympians and 2023 world team champions River Radamus and three-time Olympian Tommy Ford, Beijing Olympian Luke Winters, 2019 NCAA slalom champion Jett Seymour, and 2021 world junior slalom champion Ben Ritchie.

A competitive group of Olympians are expected to lead the international field, including reigning Olympic giant slalom gold medalist and reigning giant slalom world champion Marco Odermatt (Switzerland), two-time Olympian and 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic team silver medalist Manuel Feller (Austria), two-time Olympian Albert Popov (Bulgaria), and reigning Olympic slalom gold medalist Clement Noel (France).

Steve Schlanger will handle play-by-play alongside 1998 Nagano Olympic super-G champion Picabo Street and former U.S. Alpine Ski Team member Steve Porino. Heather Cox will serve as on-site reporter.

NBC Sports’ next and final domestic World Cup race of the season will be in Aspen, Colo., on March 2-3 live on CNBC and Peacock. A full schedule featuring FIS Alpine Ski World Cup and U.S. Ski & Snowboard events is available here.
