STAMFORD, Conn. – May 17, 2023 – Five-time Olympic medalist Lilly King, four-time Olympic gold medalist Ryan Murphy, and two-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Manuel headline the fourth and final stop of the TYR Pro Swim Series this week streaming live exclusively on Peacock. The event takes place at the Marguerite Aquatic Center in Mission Viejo, Calif.
NBC Sports’ live coverage begins tomorrow, Thursday, May 18, at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock, and continues Friday, May 19, at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock. An encore of Day 1 action will be presented on Saturday, May 20, at 11:30 a.m. ET on CNBC with an encore presentation of Day 2 on Sunday, May 21, at 1:30 p.m. ET on CNBC.
King, who owns the world record in the 100m breaststroke, is expected to contest all three breaststroke events. Murphy, who won two world titles in 2022, is expected to compete in up to four events including the 100m and 200m backstroke. Manuel is expected to swim the 50m and 100m freestyle events.
20-year-old Torri Huske, who won six medals at the 2022 World Championships, is expected to contest multiple events, including the 100m butterfly in which she holds the American and U.S. Open records. Olympic gold medalists Ryan Held and Olivia Smoliga are also expected to compete this week.
This week’s competition is the final stop in the 2023 TYR Pro Swim Series. Later this summer, the 2023 World Championships will be held in Fukuoka, Japan, from July 14-30, and will be presented on NBC and Peacock.
