New Season, Newly Promoted Teams:

LEEDS UNITED

First match: Saturday, September 12 – Liverpool v. Leeds United at 12:30 p.m. ET – NBC, Telemundo

After a 16-season absence, Leeds United return to the Premier League. Led by head coach Marcelo Bielsa, Leeds earned automatic promotion after they won last season’s Championship by 10 points, ahead of West Bromwich Albion. This will be Leeds United’s first top-flight season since 2003-04, when the club finished in 19th place and were relegated from the Premier League for the first time.

As one of the founding Premier League teams and widely considered to be one of England’s biggest clubs, Leeds United have won five major trophies in their history – three top-flight titles, an FA Cup and a League Cup. Known as “the Whites,” Leeds United won their last top-flight title in 1991-92, the final season before the Premier League was established.
