STAMFORD, Conn. – January 5, 2023 – NBC Sports presents the 23rd edition of the All-American Bowl this Saturday, Jan. 7, live at 1 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock as the most electrifying high school football stars take the field at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

The annual East vs. West all-star game showcases the best high school players in the country, including three of the nation’s top five overall recruits, according to 247Sports.

During halftime of Saturday’s game, Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren will join the show live. In August, NBCUniversal and the Big Ten conference announced a landmark seven-year agreement for NBC and Peacock to become the exclusive home of the “Big Ten Saturday Night” football package beginning in 2023. Peacock will also serve as the exclusive home for eight additional Big Ten Football games each season.

Last year’s All-American Bowl featured numerous players who played in the Big Ten this season, including Penn State running back Nicholas Singleton, who was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, and Iowa safety Xavier Nwankpa, who had a 52-yard interception-return touchdown in the Hawkeyes’ Music City Bowl victory over Kentucky.

Notable prospects expected to play in the 2023 All-American Bowl include:

    • Dante Moore, No. 3 quarterback and No. 3 overall recruit, Detroit, Mich. (UCLA commit)
    • Keon Keeley, No. 1 edge defender and No. 4 overall recruit, Tampa, Fla. (Alabama commit)
    • Kadyn Proctor, 1 offensive tackle and No. 5 overall recruit, Des Moines, Iowa (Alabama commit)
    • Caleb Downs, No. 1 safety recruit, Hoschton, Ga. (Alabama commit)
    • Samson Okunlola, No. 3 offensive tackle recruit, Braintree, Mass. (Miami commit)
    • Rueben Owens II, No. 1 running back recruit, El Campo, Texas (Texas A&M commit)

Additionally, seven athletes are expected to announce their commitments during the broadcast, including four-star recruits Mikal Harrison-Pilot (athlete), Jelani McDonald (defensive back), and Peyton Woodyard (safety).

Paul Burmeister will serve as the play-by-play voice, joined by analyst and former NFL defensive lineman Anthony Herron, and reporters Lewis Johnson and Marty Snider. Brandon Huffman, National Recruiting Editor for 247Sports, will also contribute to Saturday’s show.

STAMFORD, Conn. – December 27, 2022 – The All-American Bowl Selection Committee announced the finalists for the Anthony Muñoz Lineman of the Year Award, presented to the top high school lineman in the class of 2023.

The Anthony Muñoz Lineman of the Year Award winner will be named during the 2023 All-American Bowl Awards Show on Friday, January 6th in San Antonio, Texas.

Past winners of the award include Derrick Brown, and Paris Johnson Jr., and Solomon Thomas.

Muñoz is regarded by many as the top offensive lineman in professional football history and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame after playing 13 seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was named to the National Football League’s 75th Anniversary Team and to the NFL’s 1980’s All-Decade Team.

STAMFORD, Conn. – December 29, 2021 – All-American Dream, a one-hour special which premieres on NBC this Sunday, Jan. 2, at 2 p.m. ET, highlights the stories of the football stars of tomorrow ahead of the 2022 All-American Bowl and shares the story of how a football all-star game has become the most-watched high school sporting event for more than 20 years.

All-American Dream features NBC Sports host Paul Burmeister and analyst Anthony Herron.

Each of the 100 players selected to participate in the 2022 All-American Bowl will culminate their high school careers during the 22nd edition of the annual East vs. West matchup on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 1 p.m. ET live on NBC and Peacock from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Coinciding with the broadcast of All-American Dream, NBC Sports will release a new YouTube series that shares the stories of five 2022 All-American Bowl athletes from across the country. The series follows the athletes within their communities, showing how the stars of tomorrow are making a difference on and off the field.

The Nation’s Top 100 High School Football Players to be Honored with Virtual Jersey Presentations

STAMFORD, Conn. (September 8, 2021) The 2022 All-American Bowl on NBC will kick off its Road to the Dome tour, honoring all 100 All-Americans with virtual jersey presentations, on Wednesday, September 15th at 8 p.m. ET.

The All-Americans, who are all high school seniors, will be virtually presented with their jerseys during a 15-episode digital series that will be released weekly through various digital and social platforms across NBC Sports.

The series will be hosted by former Notre Dame wide receiver and 2013 All-American Bowl alumnus Corey Robinson. National Recruiting Editor for 247Sports Brandon Huffman will also provide in-depth video analysis of each All-American being honored.  Interviews with select All-Americans will be featured in each episode, as well.

Only 100 football players receive the honor of wearing the All-American Bowl jersey each year. All-American Bowl Announces Three New Members to Selection Committee

All-American Bowl Selection Committee Adds Snoop Dogg, Brent Williams, and Rick Mantz

STAMFORD, Conn. – Mar, 9, 2021 – The All-American Bowl today announced three new additions to the Selection Committee – Snoop Dogg, Brent Williams, and Rick Mantz.

The All-American Bowl Selection Committee works to select and recruit the top senior football players in the nation to participate in the All-American Bowl, the nation’s top high school all-star game. The Selection Committee is comprised of 247Sports, adidas, All-American Bowl and NBC Sports staff, along with Snoop Dogg, Williams and Mantz.

Following are the new additions to the All-American Bowl Selection Committee:

Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., known professionally as Snoop Dogg, is a national media personality and has successfully operated the Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL) in Southern California since 2005. The SYFL has produced several All-Americans over the years, including De’Anthony Thomas, Jack Jones and Jaylin Smith.  Snoop will bring his passion for football and upbeat personality to the committee.

Brent Williams is the President of NextGen Camps, which he founded in 2014.  NextGen Camps discover and provide exposure for the country’s best high school underclassmen and middle school football players. Over the past seven years, more than 7,000 Division I scholarships have been offered to NextGen Alumni.  Williams, a University of Toledo alum, spent 11 years in the NFL as a defensive lineman with the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and New York Jets.

Rick Mantz is an inductee of the New Jersey Coaches Association Hall of Fame after comprising a career record of 121-60 during his different tenures as a head coach.
