Peacock, NBC Sports Digital Platforms and ANWAgolf.com to Present Live Coverage of Augusta National Women’s Amateur Final Round Tomorrow Beginning at 8 a.m. ET

STAMFORD, Conn. – March 31, 2023 – Due to expected inclement weather and earlier tee times, NBC Sports will present live coverage of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur final round tomorrow, April 1, beginning at 8 a.m. ET on Peacock, NBC Sports digital platforms and ANWAgolf.com. GOLF Channel and Peacock will present live coverage starting at 10 a.m. ET, and previously scheduled coverage will air from noon-3:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.

Mike Tirico will call final round coverage from Augusta National Golf Club with 2005 U.S. Women’s Amateur champion Morgan Pressel serving as analyst, three-time NCAA All-American Paige Mackenzie and Steve Burkowski calling holes, on-course reporter Jim ‘Bones’ Mackay and Cara Banks handling interviews.

Viewership for 2023 MLB Opening Night Presented by Frontdoor saw double-digit increases on ESPN as the Chicago White Sox defeated the reigning World Series Champion Houston Astros on Thursday, March 30. The ESPN broadcast averaged 1,640,000 viewers, up 20 percent from last year’s Opening Night game on ESPN2.

Ultimate HBCU Homecoming Event

NEW YORK (March 29, 2023) – Following an incredible first year with over 35,000 fans in attendance, the Toyota HBCU New York Classic Presented by Walmart returns to MetLife Stadium on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Celebrating all the tradition and pageantry of the HBCU game day experience, the event culminates with an epic match-up between Morehouse College and Albany State University. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET.  The HBCU NY Classic game will be presented live on CNBC, Peacock, and the NBC Sports App.

Tickets go on sale April 10, 2023 at www.hbcunyclassic.com.

Known as the world’s largest HBCU Homecoming and the unofficial kickoff event of HBCU Homecoming week, fans and alumni from the 107 HBCUs across the country are expected to attend. The game’s halftime show will include a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop featuring surprise guests, plus spectacular drumline performances and a battle of the bands between participating schools. Additional performances and a full schedule of events will be announced in the coming weeks.

On Sunday, April 2, at 12 noon ET, ESPN will broadcast live and exclusively the inaugural Pickleball Slam featuring tennis legends Andre Agassi, Michael Chang, John McEnroe, and Andy Roddick.  The Slam will air immediately ahead of the NCAA Women’s basketball championship game. Created and produced by Horizon Sports & Experiences (HS&E) and InsideOut Sports & Entertainment (ISE), the 2023 event will take place at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
