ESPN+ will stream one Major League Baseball game nearly every day in August, with 28 MLB teams in action, including five appearances by the defending World Series Champion Atlanta Braves and top teams including the New York Yankees, Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers. STAMFORD, Conn. – July 28, 2022 – The nation’s top gymnasts meet this week for the 2022 U.S. Classic at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake Valley, Utah. NBC Sports’ live coverage begins this Saturday, July 30, at 2:30 p.m. ET on Peacock and CNBC, featuring the junior women’s competition.

NBC Sports’ live coverage continues Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock and CNBC with the senior women’s competition. Coverage concludes this Sunday, July 31, at 3 p.m. ET on Peacock and CNBC with the Junior and Senior Men. On Saturday, Aug. 6, NBC Sports will present a highlight show of the 2022 U.S. Classic on NBC.

This weekend’s competition is headlined by reigning world all-around silver medalist Leanne Wong in the senior women’s event and Tokyo Olympians Brody Malone, Yul Moldauer, and Shane Wiskus on the men’s side.

Two-time Olympic medalist Laurie Hernandez, who won a gold medal in the team event and a silver medal on balance beam at the 2016 Rio Olympics, will serve as an event analyst for the first time, alongside play-by-play announcer John Roethlisberger. Previously, Hernandez served as a commentator on Tokyo Live on Peacock for the Tokyo Olympics and hosted a show on TikTok during the Beijing Games.

The U.S. Classic serves as the final opportunity for athletes to qualify for the 2022 U.S. Gymnastics Championships that are set to take place in Tampa, Fla., from August 18-21. Highlights of this weekend’s competition include Malone, Moldauer, and Wiskus competing against 2022 NCAA all-around champion Paul Juda (University of Michigan). The men’s event will also feature Stephen Nedoroscik, who won the first-ever pommel horse world title for the U.S. at the 2021 World Championships.

STAMFORD, Conn. – July 28, 2022 – One week from today, NBC Sports kicks off its coverage of the 2022 NFL season with the 2022 Hall of Fame Game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders from Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. Coverage begins on Thurs., Aug. 4, on NBC and Peacock with Football Night in America at 7 p.m. ET followed by game coverage at 8 p.m. ET.

Calling the preseason contest will be the new Sunday Night Football announce team of Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth and Melissa Stark, with Terry McAulay serving as rules analyst. It will be the first time the team will call a game together.

Football Night, the most-watched studio show in sports, will be on-site in Canton for the first time. The Football Night team of Maria Taylor, Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, Jason Garrett, Chris Simms, Jac Collinsworth and Mike Florio will feature player and coach interviews, preview the game and the 2022 NFL season, and celebrate the players being inducted into the Hall of Fame that weekend. This will be the first time the new Football Night team is together. It was announced earlier this year that Taylor is serving as the show’s new host and Garrett as a new analyst.

NBC News correspondent Stephanie Gosk will also be on-site in Canton to report on the news and festivities surrounding the game for TODAY and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt.

This year’s Hall of Fame class includes tackle Tony Boselli, wide receiver Cliff Branch, safety LeRoy Butler, official Art McNally, linebacker Sam Mills, defensive end/defensive tackle Richard Seymour, coach Dick Vermeil and defensive tackle/defensive end Bryant Young.

Sunday Night Football is the NFL’s premier primetime package, has won the Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Live Sports Series a record 11 times, and has been primetime’s #1 TV show in all key metrics for an unprecedented 11 consecutive years. In 2021, Sunday Night Football averaged a Total Audience Delivery of 19.3 million viewers on NBC, Peacock and other digital platforms.

Emmy-nominated Football Night begins at 7 p.m. ET each week during the NFL regular season on NBC and Peacock and provides highlights and analysis of the afternoon games, interviews with high-profile players and coaches, breaking news insights, and an extensive preview of that night’s Sunday Night Football matchup. Since its inception in 2006, Football Night has been the most-watched studio show in sports. In 2021, the program averaged 7.1 million viewers, up 18% vs. the previous season.

For the second consecutive season, Peacock will live stream all NBC Sunday Night Football games, including the playoffs, and Football Night. The exclusive Peacock Sunday Night Football Final returns in 2022 with expanded postgame coverage following SNF each week.

Following its presentation of the Hall of Fame game, NBC Sports begins coverage of the 2022 regular season with NFL Kickoff on Thursday, Sept. 8, featuring the Buffalo Bills at the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

STAMFORD, Conn. – July 28, 2022 – NBC Sports presents a NASCAR and NTT INDYCAR SERIES crossover weekend, featuring a tripleheader at historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) this Saturday and Sunday on NBC and Peacock. This marks the third consecutive year that IMS has hosted NASCAR and INDYCAR races on the same weekend.

As part of the crossover weekend, NBC Sports’ Dale Earnhardt Jr. will serve as an analyst for the INDYCAR race and NBC Sports’ INDYCAR analyst James Hinchcliffe will join the commentary booth during the NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday.

NASCAR: CUP SERIES VERIZON 200 AT THE BRICKYARD & XFINITY SERIES PENNZOIL 150 AT THE BRICKYARD

The NASCAR Cup Series will race on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course for the second time ever on Sunday with the Verizon 200 at the Brickyard at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Countdown to Green begins pre-race coverage at 2 p.m. ET on NBC with NASCAR America post-race immediately following the checkered flag at 6 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock.

Immediately following the INDYCAR Gallagher Grand Prix, Saturday’s doubleheader on the IMS road course features the NASCAR Xfinity Series Pennzoil 150 at the Brickyard at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock with Countdown to Green pre-race coverage getting underway at 3 p.m. ET.

Xfinity Series practice and qualifying sessions begin NASCAR coverage at the IMS road course Friday at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network, while Cup Series practice and qualifying coverage is presented Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. ET on USA Network.

Two-time Daytona 500 Champion and NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., 21-time Cup Series race winner and “The Mayor” of NASCAR Jeff Burton, and Daytona 500-winning crew chief Steve Letarte will serve as analysts for the Cup Series race Sunday from IMS with lead NASCAR race announcer Rick Allen. Allen, Burton, and Letarte will be joined by James Hinchcliffe in the commentary booth as an analyst during the Xfinity Series race on Saturday.

Marty Snider and Dave Burns will serve as pit reporters during both races this weekend, and Parker Kligerman will report from pit road on Sunday.

NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Dale Jarrett and Earnhardt Jr. will anchor studio coverage with Snider from the Peacock Pit Box during pre- and post-race coverage on Saturday and Sunday. Hinchcliffe will join Burton as both “Mayors” preview the race on Sunday’s Countdown to Green pre-race coverage.

Jarrett is a two-time winner at IMS earning victories in 1996 and 1999.

NBC Sports’ Rutledge Wood will serve as a “CityView” reporter and share stories from around the expansive Indianapolis Motor Speedway track and from the town of Speedway, Ind., throughout the weekend tripleheader.

Earnhardt Jr. and Hinchcliffe will drive the INDYCAR Chevrolet corvette pace car on the IMS road course to give viewers a unique sense of the Brickyard road circuit throughout coverage during the weekend.

The official home of the NASCAR Championship and Playoffs, NBC Sports will once again present the final 20 NASCAR Cup Series races and 19 NASCAR Xfinity Series races in 2022 across NBC, Peacock and USA Network, culminating with the Championship at Phoenix Raceway on Nov. 5-6.
