Football Night in America Begins at 7 p.m. ET; Followed by 8:20 p.m. ET SNF Kickoff

“Sunday Night 7” Free-to-Play Game Features Weekly $100,000 Jackpot

NBC Sports’ Strong NFL Viewership Continues

STAMFORD, Conn. – Oct. 27, 2021 – Dak Prescott and the NFC East-leading Dallas Cowboys visit Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings on this week’s Halloween edition of NBC’s Sunday Night Football. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET with Football Night in America, followed by kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn., on NBC, Peacock and Universo.

Dallas (5-1), coming off its bye week, has won five consecutive games and lead the NFL in yards per game (460.8) and points per game (34.2). Prescott ranks fourth in the league averaging 302.2 pass yards per game and has passed for 16 touchdowns with only four interceptions, while cornerback Trevon Diggs leads the NFL with seven interceptions and joined Pro Football Hall of Famer Rod Woodson (1993) as the only players since 1970 with seven interceptions in their team’s first six games of the season.

Minnesota (3-3), also coming off its bye in Week 7, has won three of its past four games after topping Carolina, 34-28, in overtime in Week 6. Cousins (373 yards and three touchdowns against the Panthers) has three games this season with at least 300 passing yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Dallas leads the all-time series, 17-15, including the playoffs. In their most recent meeting, the Cowboys beat the Vikings, 31-28, on a game-winning two-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Andy Dalton to tight end Dalton Schultz in the final minutes of a Week 11 matchup last season.

Calling Cowboys-Vikings is Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his record 36th season as the voice of the NFL’s premier primetime package; 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth; and four-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya. Three-time Super Bowl referee Terry McAulay is the Sunday Night Football rules analyst.

In Weeks 5-17, the schedule lists the games tentatively set for Sunday Night Football on NBC. Only Sunday afternoon games are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, in which case the tentatively scheduled Sunday night game would be moved to an afternoon start time.

For Week 18, two Saturday games and the Sunday night game will be announced no later than six days prior to January 9. The schedule does not list Saturday games or a Sunday night game in Week 18, but games with playoff implications will be moved to those time slots. Flexible scheduling ensures quality matchups in all Sunday time slots in those weeks and gives “surprise” teams a chance to play their way into primetime.

TATEMATSU (OKLA. STATE), SUMMERHAYS (ARIZONA STATE) & GOTTERUP (OKLAHOMA) WIN INDIVIDUAL STROKE PLAY AT 2021 EAST LAKE CUP

October 27, 2021 By admin

Okla. State (Women), Pepperdine (Men) Claim No. 1 Seeds for Team Match Play Semifinals (Tuesday, 3-6 P.M. ET on GOLF Channel)

Women’s Semis: (1) Okla. State vs. (4) Arizona; (2) Ole Miss vs. (3) Duke Men’s Semis: (1) Pepperdine vs. (4) Oklahoma; (2) Arizona State vs. (3) Okla. State

ATLANTA, Ga. – (Oct. 25, 2021) – Oklahoma State sophomore Rina Tatematsu earned individual stroke play honors in the women’s division, while Preston Summerhays (Arizona State University) and Chris Gotterup (Oklahoma) shared low honors in the men’s division at the seventh annual East Lake Cup in Atlanta.

Tatematsu collected five birdies before finishing with an eagle on the closing hole at East Lake Golf Club to finish atop the women’s division at 5-under-par 67, four shots better than her closest competitor.

On the men’s side, Summerhays got off to a bogey, bogey start and then strung together six birdies, five on his inward nine and four in a row, en route to a four-under round of 68 and the clubhouse lead. Gotterup matched the low round amongst the men’s division by sinking a clutch 6-foot birdie putt on the 18th green.

“It means a lot,” said Tatematsu. “It is really such an honor just being able to come here to East Lake Golf Club. I’m very thankful for the opportunity”

“It’s a really hard golf course,” Summerhays said. “Starting bogey, bogey, especially for where I was on the first hole, I had a 6‑iron into a par‑5, going bogey, bogey to start, you don’t really want to get behind the eight‑ball on this course and I did exactly that. I had confidence in my game to kind of dig myself out of the hole and I got hot on the back nine and was able to make a lot of birdies.”

“It’s awesome. I haven’t won in a while and I had surgery a couple months ago, so it’s been a little while since I’ve been back in the winner’s circle,” said Gotterup. “I feel like I’m bringing something back to school. They gave a lot to me over the last couple months, so I feel like I’m somewhat returning the favor a little bit, but we’ve got a long way to go.”

The East Lake Cup is being contested over three days, following the format from the final three days of the NCAA men’s and women’s golf national championships. Tuesday (tomorrow) and Wednesday, Oct. 26-27, two match-play tournaments will be hosted simultaneously for the men’s and women’s divisions, with the semifinals taking place on Tuesday and the finals and consolation matches on Wednesday.

Teams for the East Lake Cup are competing on the championship golf course at East Lake Golf Club, home of the TOUR Championship, the season-ending event of the PGA TOUR’s FedExCup Playoffs. The East Lake Cup benefits the East Lake Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to helping families build better lives and children reach their highest potential through its holistic approach to community revitalization incorporating mixed-income housing, cradle-to-college education and community wellness. The East Lake Cup is one of the largest contributors to the East Lake Foundation, having raised more than $1.5 million for the East Lake Foundation since the tournament’s inception in 2015. ZipRecuriter and Uber Eats are the co-presenting sponsors of the East Lake Cup, with World Wide Technology, Bridgestone Golf, and Topgolf serving as additional sponsors.
