SPORTSENGINE LAUNCHES NEW REGISTRATION SYSTEM FOR ONTARIO SOCCER

January 31, 2019 By admin

The member management system will provide a new way for Ontario Soccer to interact, manage, and engage with member clubs, academies, and districts.

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN / January 31, 2019 – SportsEngine Inc., an NBC Sports Group company and the leading youth sports technology provider, announces that it has launched a new registration management system for Ontario Soccer to provide added benefits to their long term partnership.

The launch of their new registration system, Ontario Soccer Club and Academy Registry (OSCAR), will help districts, clubs, and academies within Ontario Soccer streamline the process of submitting registration data for approval and allow real-time access to the critical data organizations need to run their operations efficiently and effectively.

“This is a big step for our soccer membership and infrastructure in Ontario. By bringing together the registration data of participants across the province, whether community club or private academy, we have, for the first time, real-time data reporting to a centralized location,” said Johnny Misley, Chief Executive Officer of Ontario Soccer. “The challenge for Ontario previously had been that Clubs and Academies were utilizing a number of different technology solutions to run their organizations. OSCAR now allows Ontario Soccer and its Districts to connect with its members directly in an ever-changing sport environment.”

Ontario Soccer members will experience a brand new system that will transform the way they interact with Ontario Soccer. OSCAR will help clubs and academies not only get their players registered for the season but will also allow them to send that data up to their district for approval and get real-time access to reporting, which improves an outdated paper submission process.

“Over our long-term partnership with Ontario Soccer we realized that the organization’s registration system wouldn’t work with a one-size fits all approach,” said Lee Zukor, SVP of Product and Engineering, SportsEngine. “Working hand-in-hand with Ontario Soccer and their districts, we were able to create a leading-edge management system that sets both parties up for ongoing success. We’re excited to continue innovating together.”

More than 1 million teams, leagues and clubs use SportsEngine to run their websites, tournaments, leagues, online registration and mobile apps. Through these applications, sports teams, clubs and leagues are able to drastically reduce the time they spend on administration and communication, allowing them to focus more time on developing their athletes. United Soccer Coaches joins the SportsEngine enterprise roster of clients which includes other professional league partners and national governing bodies.

SPORTSENGINE EXPANDS LONG-TERM TECHNOLOGY PARTNERSHIP WITH UNITED SOCCER LEAGUE

January 17, 2019 By admin

Multi-year agreement will expand the USL Digital Network across all teams and properties

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN / January 17, 2019 – SportsEngine Inc., an NBC Sports Group company and the leading sports technology provider, announced today that it has renewed its partnership with the United Soccer League (USL). SportsEngine was selected by the United Soccer League in 2016 to develop the new USL Digital Network, and after the USL unveiled a new structure and brand identity this past September, the USL and SportsEngine partnered by launching new digital platforms for each of its top three leagues as well as its corporate headquarters.

“As a professional soccer league, we are always very excited when we find partners who align so closely with our goals and mission as an organization,” said USL Senior Vice President of Digital and Content Lizzie Seedhouse. “The mutual focus has been on providing digital innovation and resources for our leagues and teams, and we are excited to continue to build on the momentum we have generated thus far.”

The renewal of the partnership expands the reach of the entire digital network across all USL Championship, USL League One, and USL League Two properties, allowing for engaging digital content across all leagues and teams. The new agreement also extends to the USL Youth Academies, providing a unique opportunity to welcome this growing part of the USL family to benefit from the digital network.

The USL, which oversees the USL Championship, USL League One, and USL League Two, is the largest professional soccer organization in North America and possesses nearly a decade of experience in bringing the world’s game to communities across the United States and Canada. The organization is built on an established model in international football and counts more than 100 clubs in its membership.

“What excites us most about this renewal is knowing that the United Soccer League found value in our last three years working together as partners,” said John Weinerth, Soccer Vice President, SportsEngine. “The USL is the fastest growing professional sports league in North America and we are excited to power a small part of that growth through great technology for years to come.”

More than one million teams, leagues and clubs use SportsEngine to run their websites, tournaments, leagues, online registration and mobile apps. Through these applications, sports teams, clubs and leagues are able to drastically reduce the time they spend on administration and communication, allowing them to focus more time on developing their athletes. The USL joins the SportsEngine Enterprise roster of clients, which includes numerous other professional league partners and national governing bodies.

“It’s been extremely exciting to partner with the USL and work with each of the individual teams on digital strategy,” said Jessie Doig, Enterprise Business Executive, SportsEngine. “The partnership renewal was very focused on building additional value for teams locally as they build out their youth academies, so we are excited about engaging with the teams on a deeper level going forward.”

The USL and SportsEngine continue to expand the digital network into 2019 and beyond with the addition of new franchises – including 14 new professional clubs in the USL Championship and USL League One for the upcoming year – youth academy affiliates and League Two teams being onboarded onto the network.
