THE MEN IN BLAZERS SHOW Returns Monday, Feb. 29, at 10 p.m. ET on NBCSN

STAMFORD, Conn. – February 22, 2016 – NBC Sports Group’s Premier League coverage of 18 matches in five days is highlighted by two matches between top-tier Premier League teams, when fifth-place Manchester United host third-place Arsenal this Sunday, Feb. 28, at 9:05 a.m. ET on NBCSN and TELEMUNDO, and Liverpool host fourth-place Manchester City on Wednesday, Mar. 2, at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN and TELEMUNDO.

Arsenal come off a crucial 2-1 win over first-place Leicester City on Feb. 14, bringing them within two points of the league-leaders and keeping them level on points with second-place Tottenham.  Manchester United look to rebound from a 2-1 loss to Sunderland. The Red Devils are six points behind fourth-place Manchester City, who currently sit in the final Champions League position. Liverpool come off a 6-0 win against struggling Aston Villa at Villa Park, with their six goals coming from six different scorers.

NBC Sports Group’s lead Premier League play-by-play announcer Arlo White calls both matches, joined by analyst Graeme Le Saux.

NBC Sports Group’s Premier League coverage begins this Saturday, Feb. 27, at 7 a.m. ET with Premier League Live followed by West Ham United v. Sunderland at 7:45 a.m. ET on NBCSN, and first-place Leicester City v. Norwich City at 10 a.m. ET on NBCSN and NBC UNIVERSO.

Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET, NBC presents coverage of West Bromwich Albion v. Crystal Palace. West Brom come off a 1-0 win over Everton, while Crystal Palace, tied on points with West Brom, look to ride the momentum from their 1-0 win over Tottenham in FA Cup play this past weekend. White calls the match, joined by analyst Lee Dixon at The Hawthorns.

The match will be followed by a live Goal Zone at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Rebecca Lowe hosts Goal Zone and Premier League Live, alongside a combination of former Major League Soccer and U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Kyle Martino, former Jamaican National Team Player Robbie Earle, and former Premier League footballer Robbie Mustoe.

NBC Sports Group’s mid-week slate of matches begins on Tuesday, Mar. 1, at 2 p.m. ET with Premier League Live followed by Leicester City v. West Bromwich Albion on NBCSN.

Matches not featured on NBCSN in multiple television windows next week will be available in their entirety via live stream on NBC Sports Live Extra and on Premier League Extra Time, a bonus television package available to MVPDs at no extra cost for customers who receive NBCSN.

ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 22, 2016) – Coming off a dramatic victory by Bubba Watson on Sunday, the PGA TOUR moves east this week for the Florida Swing, with NBC Sports Group providing exclusive coverage of the next six weeks on the PGA TOUR beginning with The Honda Classic, Thursday-Sunday, Feb. 25-28.

Golf Channel and NBC will present nearly 20 live hours of The Honda Classic this week, beginning with a special Pro-Am show on Wednesday. Golf Channel will air four hours of live coverage on Thursday and Friday, followed by a combined five hours on Golf Channel and NBC on Saturday and Sunday.

The field will be headlined by 2012 Honda Classic champion Rory McIlroy and reigning PLAYERS champion Rickie Fowler, No. 3 and No. 5 in the current world golf rankings. Eleven of the top-20 players in the world are in the field, including No. 9 Patrick Reed, No. 10 Branden Grace, reigning Open Champion Zach Johnson and five-time Major Champion Phil Mickelson.

DAVID FEHERTY TO MAKE FLORIDA SWING BROADCAST DEBUT: David Feherty joined the NBC broadcast team exclusively in 2016 and will be a course reporter for Golf Channel and NBC’s weekend coverage of The Honda Classic. He will work a stretch of five consecutive weeks on Golf Channel and NBC rotating as a tower analyst and course reporter, including each of the Florida Swing events as well the WGC-Dell Match Play (March 23-27) in Austin, Texas.

HONDA CLASSIC BROADCAST TEAM: Leading weekend coverage will be Dan Hicks and Johnny Miller, who are in their 17th year as play-by-play announcer and lead analyst, the longest-tenured 18th-hole broadcasting tandem for any network. Joining Hicks and Miller will be Notah Begay, Feherty, Peter Jacobsen, Gary Koch, Roger Maltbie and Steve Sands.  Calling the action for Golf Channel’s early round coverage will be Rich Lerner and Koch, supported by the NBC crew, as well as Steve Burkowski reporting for Golf Central.

Mark Rolfing and Jimmy Roberts will join the broadcast team at the WGC-Cadillac Championship. Terry Gannon (WGC-Cadillac, WGC-Dell Match Play), Bob Papa (Valspar Championship) and Whit Watson (Shell Houston Open) will rotate with Lerner in calling Golf Channel play-by-play duties.

MORNING DRIVE ON-LOCATION DURING FLORIDA SWING: Morning Drive, Golf Channel’s daily news and lifestyle show, will broadcast on-location for each of the Florida Swing events in addition to Studio AP in Golf Channel’s worldwide headquarters in Orlando, Fla.

ESPN College GameDay Basketball Returns to Virginia for Second Straight Season

ESPN College GameDay Covered by State Farm returns to the campus of No. 7 Virginia, in advance of the Saturday Primetime presented by DIRECTV matchup between ACC opponents – the Cavaliers and No. 5 North Carolina on Saturday, Feb. 27 (ESPN, 6:30 p.m.). The morning show begins at 11 a.m. on ESPN, followed by an evening edition leading into the game telecast.

ESPN College GameDay Covered by State Farm is hosted by Rece Davis, who is joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams. Dan Shulman, Bilas and reporter Shannon Spake will have the call of the game.

North Carolina will be the road team at a GameDay site for a record-10th time overall, and appears for the second time this season (February 6 at Notre Dame).

NBC Sports Live Extra’s coverage of the 2016 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying soccer tournament, beginning on Feb. 10, scored for NBC Sports Live Extra, with games featuring the U.S. Women’s National Team delivering a combined 8.4 million live minutes and 118,000 unique users across three matches.

The tournament continues tonight, when the USWNT face Trinidad & Tobago in the semifinal round for a spot in the 2016 Rio Olympics, at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Live Extra and NBCSN.

NASCARTalk and NBC SportsWorld Surround NASCAR’s Daytona 500 with Around-the-Clock Coverage and In-Depth Stories

As NASCAR gears up for its season launch at the Daytona 500 this weekend, NASCARTalk and NBC SportsWorld on NBCSports.com are providing fans with around-the-clock news and in-depth coverage of the most compelling storylines.

GolfChannel.com Wins Two First-Place Golf Writers Association of America Awards

GolfChannel.com won two first-place awards yesterday when the Golf Writers Association of America announced winners of its annual writing contest.

Senior writers Rex Hoggard and Ryan Lavner joined managing editor Mercer Baggs to win a first-place award for a special four-part project on Tiger Woods as he turned 40. The pieces asked who is Tiger Woods, why does he still matter and where does he go now? The fourth piece in the series examined Woods’ impact on today’s stars.

Joe Posnanski, NBC Sports’ national columnist, won a first-place award in the daily columns category for his piece remembering Calvin Peete and how hard he worked to achieve a miracle career in golf. Posnanski also received an honorable mention nod in the daily features category for his piece on how brightly Jordan Spieth shined during his epic Masters performance.

This is Baggs’ second-career first-place award. It is the first for Posnanski, Hoggard and Lavner.

All winners will be honored at the GWAA’s annual awards dinner April 6 in Augusta, Ga.

Voting Available Now for Short-Form Feature And Film Contest CPTR’D (Captured)

Last week, NBC Sports Group announced the five projects selected as finalists for CPTR’D (Captured), a new sports short-form feature contest open to independent filmmakers of all levels who aspire to follow NBC Sports’ Emmy Award-winning storytelling heritage. The first, second and third place finalist selections will be decided by a collaboration of public and judges votes, and fans can vote for each project by visiting http://www.cptrdcontest.com. Voting ends on Wednesday, March 9, 2016.

The five CPTR’D finalists are En Garde!, produced by Rubi Barragan and Raza Naqvi; Not Just Strong for a Girl, produced by Bill Politis; Queens & Knights, produced by Sandra Chuma and Nyasha Kadandara; Me, My Mom, and Dennis Rodman, produced by Jason Gilmore and Brian Branch, and Going the Distance, produced by Jessie Beers-Altman.

NBC Sports Group celebrates hockey in the United States with a Hockey Day In America tripleheader this Sunday across NBC and NBCSN, highlighted by an NHL Stadium Series matchup between Patrick Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks and Zach Parise and the Minnesota Wild, from TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn., at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

FIS WORLD CUP ALPINE SKIING
NBC Sports continues its coverage of the FIS World Cup alpine skiing season this Saturday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC, as Lindsey Vonn continues her pursuit of the World Cup victories record in La Thuile, Italy. Steve Porino (play-by-play) and Kaylin Richardson (analyst) will provide commentary for Saturday’s coverage on NBC.

Universal HD will also air men’s FIS World Cup alpine skiing coverage from Chamonix, France, this weekend, beginning with Men’s Combined today at 3:30 p.m. ET. Coverage on Universal HD continues Saturday with Men’s Downhill at 4 p.m. ET, and concludes Sunday with Women’s Super G at 6 p.m. ET.

CURLING NIGHT IN AMERICA 
Friday Night is Curling Night on NBCSN with a new episode of Curling Night In America tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET. The penultimate installation of the eight-episode television event on NBCSN will feature John Shuster and Team USA against Team China on the men’s side. NBC revisits the amazing comeback story of 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Kyle Busch this Saturday at 2 p.m. ET. The one-hour special, 18 Rising Presented by Toyota, chronicles Busch’s inconceivable year. The journey began with a hard crash and broken bones in Daytona, followed by a tough recovery that spanned 11 regular-season races, then finished with a dominating march to Miami that climaxed with a Sprint Cup Championship.

The special brings viewers behind the scenes with Busch during the off-season, showcasing tender moments at home with his wife, Samantha, and young son, Brexton. Cameras also follow Busch and race team owner, Joe Gibbs, to the Toyota factory in Georgetown, KY, where they visit with workers, share stories and offer photos with the Sprint Cup trophy.

WORLD SERIES OF FIGHTING
World Series of Fighting returns to NBCSN this Saturday, Feb. 20, live at 9 p.m. ET, with Marlon Moraes (15-4-1) defending his bantamweight title against Joseph Barajas (12-1) from Next Level Sports Complex in Orange County, Calif.

In Saturday’s co-main event, Timur “Lucky” Valiev (10-1) takes on Chris “El Guapo” Gutierrez (8-1-1) in a bantamweight contest, with the winner expected to earn a shot at the World Series of Fighting bantamweight title. Saturday’s card also features a bout between Andrew “The” Ramm (4-3) and Ozzie Alvarez (6-3) in the welterweight division.

STAMFORD, Conn. – Feb. 18, 2016 – Lindsey Vonn continues her pursuit of the FIS World Cup alpine skiing victories record from La Thuile, Italy, this Saturday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC, headlining NBC Sports Group’s Olympic winter sports coverage across NBC, NBCSN, Universal HD and NBC Sports Live Extra.

This weekend’s coverage includes the latest installment of Curling Night In America on NBCSN, as 2006 Olympic bronze medalist and three-time Olympian John Shuster and Team USA take on Team China this Friday night at 10:30 p.m. ET. NBCSN’s presentation of the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games from Lillehammer, Norway, continues through the weekend, while NBC Sports Group will provide coverage of the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships. In addition, Universal HD and NBC Sports Live Extra will provide FIS World Cup skiing and snowboard and IBSF World Cup bobsled and skeleton coverage this weekend.

FIS WORLD CUP ALPINE SKIING – SATURDAY AT 3 P.M. ET ON NBC

NBC Sports continues its coverage of the FIS World Cup alpine skiing season this Saturday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC, as Lindsey Vonn continues her pursuit of the World Cup victories record in La Thuile, Italy. Vonn notched her 76th win in Germany two weeks ago, and is only 10 wins away from reaching the all-time mark of 86, held by Sweden’s Ingemar Stenmark. Vonn currently leads this season’s overall World Cup standings (1060 points) ahead of Swiss 2014 Olympic bronze medalist Lara Gut (973). Steve Porino (play-by-play) and two-time Olympian Kaylin Richardson (analyst) will provide commentary for Saturday’s coverage on NBC.

NBC Sports Live Extra and Universal HD will also air men’s FIS World Cup alpine skiing coverage from Chamonix, France, this weekend, beginning on Friday morning at 8 a.m. ET.


CURLING NIGHT IN AMERICA –
TOMORROW NIGHT AT 10:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

Friday Night is Curling Night on NBCSN with a new episode of Curling Night In America tomorrow night at 10:30 p.m. ET. The penultimate installation of the eight-episode television event on NBCSN will feature John Shuster and Team USA against Team China on the men’s side. Last week, Team Japan defeated Team USA by a score of 5-2 in the women’s draw.

The event features Team USA, as well as China, Japan, and Scotland, and includes one men’s, women’s and mixed doubles team from each nation. Jason Knapp (play-by-play) and 2006 Olympic bronze medalist and eight-time U.S. national champion Pete Fenson (analyst) will provide commentary, while Tanith White (reporter) offers reports from Curl Mesabi in Eveleth, Minn.

Last week’s episode of Curling Night In America was the most-watched to-date, averaging 157,000 viewers, up 121% vs. last year’s average. This marked the fifth consecutive Friday night episode of Curling Night in America to eclipse 100,000 viewers.


WINTER YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES COVERAGE CONTINUES THROUGH WEEKEND ON NBCSN

NBCSN’s daily presentation of the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games from Lillehammer, Norway, continues through this weekend with coverage tonight at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT. NBC Sports Group commentators Carolyn Manno, Jimmy Roberts, Liam McHugh, and Dave Briggs will combine to host NBCSN’s coverage of the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games.

Events that will be featured at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games include alpine skiing, ice hockey, freestyle skiing and snowboarding, speedskating, luge, curling and cross-country skiing. OLYMPIANS GRACIE GOLD & MIRAI NAGASU HIGHLIGHT 2016 ISU FOUR CONTINENTS FIGURE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS THIS SATURDAY AT 4 P.M. ET ON NBC

Announced earlier today, NBC Sports Group presents coverage of the 2016 ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships from Taipei City, Chinese Taipei, this week, including the ladies’ free skate this Saturday, Feb. 20, at 4 p.m. ET on NBC. In addition, Universal HD presents coverage of the event beginning today at 3 p.m. ET with the ladies’ short program, and NBCSN presents the men’s free skate Sunday night, Feb. 21, at midnight ET. Eight-ranked teams to be showcased across ESPN2 & ESPNU

Play 4Kay – celebrating its 10th year across ESPN networks – continues to highlight the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with The V Foundation and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), with five games across ESPN2 and ESPNU on Sunday, Feb. 21. Also included in the initiative are two top-25 matchups as part of ESPN2’s Big Monday presented by Delta series featuring No. 3 Notre Dame at No. 10 Florida State, followed by No. 4 Baylor at No. 20 Oklahoma on Monday, Feb. 22.

Play 4Kay is in memory of former NC State head coach Kay Yow, who lost her long, courageous battle with breast cancer in January 2009. The annual event unites a nation of coaches and players for a greater cause – to raise awareness and funds in support of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. During the 2015 ESPYS, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund announced a multi-year $1.25 million grant to The V Foundation in support of women’s cancer research initiatives. This grant continues the legacy of Yow and will fund an ovarian cancer research project at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla.

Eight teams listed in the Associated Press weekly poll will participate in this year’s Play 4Kay games: No. 3 Notre Dame, No. 4 Baylor, No. 6 Maryland, No. 10 Florida State, No. 14 Mississippi State, No. 19 USF, No. 20 Oklahoma and No. 24 Tennessee.

All Play 4Kay telecasts will be streamed live on WatchESPN, accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.

Kay Yow Legacy
Yow’s coaching career spanned more than 38 years, including 34 with NC State. She had a record of 737-344, which encompassed 20 NCAA championship bids, a Women’s Final Four appearance in 1998 and four ACC Tournament championships. She also served as the assistant women’s Olympic team coach in 1984 and head coach of the U.S. Olympic women’s gold medal team in 1988. She was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002 and the inaugural NC State Hall of Fame in October, 2012. Yow won the inaugural Jimmy V ESPY for Perseverance Award in 2007.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund
The Kay Yow Cancer Fund was officially founded on December 3, 2007 from the vision of the organization’s namesake Kay Yow, former NC State University head women’s basketball coach.  Coach Yow was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987 before succumbing to the disease on January 24, 2009.  The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women’s cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved, and unifying people for a common cause.  To date, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund has supported over $5.18 million in women’s cancer research and related programs focused on women’s cancers.
