U.S. ARMY ALL-AMERICAN BOWL SHOWCASES FUTURE FOOTBALL STARS LIVE THIS SATURDAY ON NBC
NEW YORK – December 31, 2008 – Ninety of the nation’s top high school football players take the field in the U.S. Army High School All-American Bowl Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. The game which will air live on NBC from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, gives fans a sneak peek at football’s premier college prospects. The classic East vs. West match up has featured some of college football and the NFL’s best players including Reggie Bush, Adrian Peterson and Brady Quinn.
Bob Papa will call the action with Pat Haden providing analysis. Also providing commentary are Lewis Johnson, Marty Snider and Tom Lemming.
The game will also be a deciding factor of which player will be crowned the Ball Park National High School Player of the Year and receive the coveted Hall Trophy. High school’s version of the Heisman Trophy, the Hall Trophy is named after all-time leading high school running back Ken “Sugarland Express” Hall who rushed for 11,232 yards during his high school career.
