STAMFORD, Conn. – Jan. 26, 2016 – NBC Sports begins its comprehensive 2016 NHL All-Star Weekend coverage in Nashville, Tenn., in three days with a primetime special featuring NHL All-Star players and performances from top country music stars, when NBCSN presents NHL All-Star Friday Night: Live in Music City this Friday at 8 p.m. ET.
NBC Sports Group’s Kathryn Tappen will co-host Friday night’s one-hour special alongside Kimberly Perry, lead singer of the Grammy Award and CMA Award-winning group The Band Perry, from Bridgestone Winter Park in downtown Nashville.
The event will feature interviews and appearances from numerous NHL All-Stars, including Steven Stamkos (TBL), P.K. Subban, Matt Duchene (COL), Johnny Gaudreau (CGY), Brandon Saad (CBJ), as well as a trio of All-Star representatives from the hometown Nashville Predators – Roman Josi, Pekka Rinne and Shea Weber.
In addition, country music legend and All-Star Game celebrity coach Vince Gill and Predators defenseman Roman Josi will give viewers a tour of the Gibson Guitar Factory.
NHL All-Star Weekend coverage continues on Saturday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. ET, with the NHL Skills Competition, followed by the debut of the 3-on-3 format of the NHL All-Star Game on Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. ET. Three-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play commentator Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member and analyst Eddie Olczyk, Emmy Award-winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire, and 500-goal scorer Jeremy Roenick call the back-and-forth action from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

NBC Sports Group will deliver coverage of 105 NHL regular-season games during the 2015-16 season, featuring 12 games on NBC and 93 games on NBCSN. All games will be streamed live via NBC Sports Live Extra. This year’s coverage includes 24 Wednesday Night Rivalry games, 6 Wednesday Nightcaps, 12 Sunday Night Hockey contests, and NHL All-Star coverage.
