Arena Football Friday Features Tampa Bay Storm at Spokane Shock in Arena Bowl XXIII at 8:00 PM ET
Following hard fought wins in their Conference championship matchups, the Tampa Bay Storm and Spokane Shock will face off in Arena Bowl XXIII, Friday at 8:00 PM ET.
The game will be called by Paul Burmeister with analysis from Kurt Warner.
The Shock defeated the Milwaukee Iron 60-57 to earn a berth in the Arena Bowl. WR Huey Whittaker finished the game with 14 catches for 165 yards and five touchdowns, and DB Alex Teems recovered a crucial onside kick to end the game.
In a nail biter, the Storm beat local rival Orlando Predators 63-62 to become American Conference champions and earn a trip to Spokane. After a dominating performance by Tampa Bay in the first half, Orlando launched a comeback in the second half erasing a 21-point deficit. Tampa QB Brad Dietz threw for 260 yards and seven touchdowns, connecting with WR Tyrone Timmons on three TDs.
Back-to-Back LIVE Week 2 Preseason Games This Saturday
Week 2 preseason coverage features games all day, every day on NFL Network, including back-to-back live broadcasts on Saturday, August 21 beginning at 7:00 PM ET.
Saturday at 7:00 PM ET, the Steelers travel to New York to take on the Giants in their first home preseason game in New Meadowlands Stadium. For Steelers fans, all eyes will be on the performance of QB Ben Roethlisberger and Rashard Mendenhall as the second-year running back attempts to build on his rookie campaign.
Saturday’s second live game on NFL Network features the Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks, at 10:00 PM ET. After a successful 2009 season, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers leads his team against the Seahawks and veteran QB Matt Hasselbeck.
In addition to the ten live telecasts during the 2010 preseason, NFL Network features tape-delayed broadcasts of all 65 preseason games.
NFL Total Access Live from Cowboys Training Facility Wednesday
NFL Total Access goes on the road Wednesday night, with portions of the show coming live from the Dallas Cowboys training facility in Oxnard, CA, where some of footballs most popular names, including QB Tony Romo and WR Roy Williams, are getting fine tuned for the upcoming regular season.
Paul Burmeister and Brian Baldinger anchor NFL Network’s coverage from Oxnard, which will include practice footage, sound and interviews including a chat with owner Jerry Jones.
