Dodgers-Padres on Sunday, March 30, the First of 65+ Games Including Entire Postseason, Plus Home Run Derby, All-Star Game
ESPN Radio’s 17th Major League Baseball season of more than 65 games will include multiple appearances from several top teams including the defending World Series Champion Boston Red Sox, defending National League Champion St. Louis Cardinals, the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers. The season begins on Opening Night – Sunday, March 30 – when the Los Angeles Dodgers and Yasiel Puig visit the San Diego Padres and Chase Headley at 7 p.m. ET. On Opening Day, Monday, March 31, the Boston Red Sox and David Ortiz visit the Baltimore Orioles and Chris Davis, at 2 p.m.
ESPN Radio will broadcast several of MLB’s premiere rivalries including the New York Yankees and Derek Jeter, in his final season, hosting the Boston Red Sox and Ortiz on Saturday, April 12, at 12 p.m. and on Sunday, April 13, at 7 p.m. Other rivalries include the San Francisco Giants and Buster Posey who will visit the Los Angeles Dodgers and Puig on Saturday, April 5, at 3 p.m. and Sunday, April 6, at 7 p.m. as well as the St. Louis Cardinals and Yadier Molina who take on the Chicago Cubs and Starlin Castro on Saturday, May 3, at 12 p.m. and Sunday, May 4, at 7 p.m.
ESPN Radio will also be home to the Chevrolet Home Run Derby and the 85th MLB All Star Game from Target Field in Minneapolis on Monday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 15, and will broadcast every MLB postseason game for the 17th consecutive year. Postseason coverage will include the National and American League Division Series, National League Championship Series, the American League Championship Series and the World Series.
The MLB on ESPN Radio schedule, below, includes the one hour Baseball Tonight pregame show. As the season progresses, additional games on ESPN Radio will be announced. All games will be available on ESPN Radio, espnradio.com, Sirius XM and the ESPN Radio mobile app.
