TAMPA BAY RAYS CONTINUE FIGHT FOR POSTSEASON SPOT AGAINST NEW YORK YANKEES THIS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22
Boston Red Sox Face Rival Yankees This Friday, September 23 with Matt Vasgersian and Jim Kaat On The Call
Secaucus, N.J., September 19, 2011 – The Tampa Bay Rays’ Postseason push continues when they take on the A.L. East first-place New York Yankees on Thursday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m. ET, live from Yankee Stadium. After trailing the Boston Red Sox by nine games in the A.L. Wild Card race on September 2, the Rays have pulled within two games after winning three out of four games against Boston this past weekend.
The Red Sox, who have lost nine of their last eleven games, will visit the Yankees on Friday, September 23 at 7:00 p.m. ET. MLB Network’s Matt Vasgersian and Jim Kaat will call the game live from Yankee Stadium. The Yankees, who are looking to return to the Postseason for the third straight season, have trimmed their magic number to win the A.L. East to seven games.
MLB Tonight, MLB Network’s Emmy Award-winning nightly studio show, will air before and after each game providing complete coverage of the Postseason races, including updates, highlights, analysis and look-ins at live games in progress.
