NFL’s Top 10 Trick Plays Premieres Friday, September 28 at 10:00 PM ET – Hosted by David Copperfield
A new episode of NFL Network’s series NFL’s Top 10 premieres Friday, September 28 at 10:00 PM ET. Legendary magician David Copperfield hosts NFL’s Top 10 Trick Plays, breaking down the ins and outs of football’s most celebrated gadget plays.
From inside his warehouse in Las Vegas, the King of Magic reveals the tricks behind football sleight of hand, from the reverse, to the double pass, the surprise onside kick, the Statue of Liberty, the fake punt, and even the biggest trick play of them all, William “The Refrigerator” Perry.
NFL’s Top 10 Trick Plays also includes interviews with comedians JB Smoove, Jim Norton and the Sklar Brothers.
Provided below are some quotes from the episode:
– “When I do a piece of magic, I have to convince you that it’s very, very natural. So anything tricky is hidden, but everything you see is natural. What we all see on the field when they do an illusionary play, we see bodies moving in a very natural way when they’re hiding something in a very unnatural way.” – David Copperfield
– “To create wonder – whether it’s on a stage or the football field – you have to know what the audience is going to think; where their mind is going to go, what they expect, and go in a completely different direction.” – Copperfield
