Final Sprint Cup practice commences at 4:30 p.m. ET, with Burns, Burton and Petty providing commentary, and the broadcast day at Watkins Glen culminates with an on-site broadcast of NASCAR America at 6 p.m. ET.
Saturday’s qualifying coverage kicks off on CNBC with XFINITY Series qualifying at 11 a.m. ET, followed by Sprint Cup qualifying at 1 p.m. ET on NBCSN. In the exclusive interview, Allmendinger discusses his expectations and goals going into this weekend at “The Glen,” where he earned his only win of his Sprint Cup Series career to this point.
Once the engines fire and the green flag drops, coverage shifts to the booth, where Allen will call the action alongside Letarte and Burton. After the checkered flag has been captured, Voda and Petty handle post-race coverage from Victory Lane, featuring on-site interviews with the winner and key players from the afternoon.

Highlighted by a live telecast of NASCAR Sprint Cup Racing from Pocono Speedway and a same-day replay of the Verizon IndyCar Series from Mid-Ohio, last Sunday, August 2, produced the second-highest non-Olympic viewership for a single day in NBCSN history. Last Sunday’s total day viewership (6 a.m. – 3 a.m. ET), which featured 18 consecutive hours of motorsports coverage from 6 a.m.-midnight ET, averaged over 1 million viewers per minute (1.058 million) for the second straight week.
