2013 MLB ALL-STAR GAME ON FOX BROADCAST GUIDE
Tuesday, July 16 – 7:30 PM ET – Live from Citi Field in New York
FOX Sports and Major League Baseball (MLB) are proud to present baseball’s biggest and brightest stars, all on one stage, Tuesday, July 16 (7:30 PM ET) during the 84th Major League Baseball All-Star Game, live from Citi Field in Flushing, N.Y. This year’s All-Star Game marks the 22nd and final for legendary broadcaster Tim McCarver, who steps down from his position of lead MLB on FOX analyst upon conclusion of this season’s World Series. McCarver, the 2012 Ford C. Frick Award winner, is a two-time National League All-Star catcher with the St. Louis Cardinals (1966 & 1967).
The 2013 Mid-Summer Classic is the network’s 15th MLB All-Star Game broadcast (1997, 1999, 2001-‘13), with all 15 called by play-by-play announcer Joe Buck and McCarver (Bob Brenly worked with Buck & McCarver in 1997 & 1998). The pairing of Buck and McCarver for 15 All-Star Games is a record. The next closest duo, Curt Gowdy and Tony Kubek, called seven All-Star Games from 1969 to 1975. Buck and McCarver are joined by MLB on FOX insider Ken Rosenthal and broadcaster Erin Andrews reporting from the field.
