ESPN will showcase the inaugural NBA Pioneers Classic when the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics meet on Sunday, February 1, at 3:30 p.m. ET, marking both NBA Pioneers Day and the start of Black History Month. Through 21 games, the NBA on ESPN networks is averaging 2.6M viewers, up 35 percent from last season. Viewership for the 2025-26 regular season trails only the 2010-11 campaign. It excludes the 2011-12 and 2020-21 seasons, which were both shortened and had non-traditional schedules.
