ESPN International’s coverage of the 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship Final Four from North Texas will feature Jay Bilas, Dan Shulman and Dick Vitale calling the games. National Semifinal action will take place Saturday, April 5 beginning at 6 p.m. ET, while the National Championship will be held Monday, April 7 at 9 p.m.
ESPN International’s commentator assignments for the three-game Final Four include: Shulman (play-by-play) and Vitale (analyst) for National Semifinal #1, Shulman (play-by-play) and Bilas (analyst) for National Semifinal #2 and Shulman (play-by-play) and Vitale (analyst) for the National Championship.
Both Bilas and Vitale, who will each be featured on ESPN’s (U.S.) studio coverage during Final Four week including SportsCenter and College GameDay, called Final Four game action for the first time last year. This will mark Shulman’s Final Four debut as a game commentator.
The telecasts will reach sports fans in 165 countries and territories across 35 television and broadcast networks outside the United States. ESPN International networks will provide coverage in Latin America (Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America), Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, and via TSN and RDS in Canada. Additionally, worldwide, ESPN Syndication has completed deals to distribute the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship to local television clients reaching tens of millions of homes in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Japan and across Southeast Asia.
