NEW YORK (Aug. 31, 2011) – As the Giants continue to battle through injuries to keep their playoff hopes alive, the season finale of The Franchise: A Season with the San Francisco Giants examines the state of the team. Cameras are permitted into a recent meeting with Manager Bruce Bochy, GM Brian Sabean and other members of the Giants front office as they discuss where the team stands with a month left to go in the 2011 season.
The Franchise has shed light on some of the most fascinating human interest stories in baseball. Tonight’s episode reflects on the most memorable season-long journeys, including that of Ryan Vogelsong, Pablo Sandoval, Brandon Belt and Barry Zito.
And, of course, the season finale features a series of amusing outtakes and montages from the eight months MLB productions spent filming one of the league’s most compelling teams.
