NOTABLE & QUOTABLE…
* “The Colts are the team on the rise. They’re confident and back in rhythm after a slow start. They are the Indianapolis Colts that we’ve been waiting for. The way they’re playing right now, they’re the most dangerous Wild Card team in the league.” – STEVE MARIUCCI
* “Although the Colts have won five of the last six meetings, Jacksonville always gives them a battle. The Jaguars would love nothing better than ruining the playoff chances of one of their division rivals. It would make their season.” – BOB PAPA
* “Last week, you saw teams like Detroit, Kansas City and Cincinnati come to play and play hard despite being out of the playoff hunt. I expect the same from the Jaguars, to show what they’ve got and the character of their team.” – MARIUCCI

Thursday Night Football
NFL Network is in its third year airing the exclusive Thursday Night Football primetime package. NFL Network presents eight games in the key stretch of the season as teams jockey for playoff berths and seeding. Heading into the last week of the 2008 Thursday Night Football slate, the matchups have featured two overtime battles with the Jets’ 34-31 win over the Patriots and last week’s 27-24 Bears victory against the Saints. NFL Network’s third Thanksgiving Day matchup featured the Eagles win over the Cardinals, followed by the Chargers’ week 14 victory over the Oakland Raiders that marked the first-ever live broadcast experiment of an NFL game in 3D in select theaters.
NFL Network has assembled an award-winning team to cover its “Run to the Playoffs” slate. The insightful, 2007 Sports Emmy Award winner CRIS COLLINSWORTH returns to provide game analysis. A nine-time Sports Emmy winner, Collinsworth is joined by new NFL Network play-by-play announcer BOB PAPA, the radio voice of the New York Giants who has called a pair of Super Bowls. Papa was also the lead voice for NFL Europa games including the 2007 World Bowl on NFL Network and has worked seven Olympics. The Sports Emmy-winning tandem of MARK LOOMIS and CRAIG JANOFF respectively produce and direct Thursday Night Football.
RICH EISEN hosts NFL Network’s Total Access on Location three-hour pregame show. Eisen, a two-time Sports Emmy nominee in the Studio Host category, is joined by new analyst WARREN SAPP, a seven-time Pro Bowler and 1999 Defensive Player of the Year who ranks second all-time among defensive tackles with 96.5 sacks and earned a Super Bowl XXXVII ring with the Buccaneers; STEVE MARIUCCI, a former NFL head coach with the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions who also served as Brett Favre’s quarterback coach in Green Bay; MARSHALL FAULK, who won a Super Bowl XXXIV ring with the Rams, earned 2000 NFL MVP honors and three Offensive Player of the Year awards (1999-2001) and has been selected to seven Pro Bowls; and DEION SANDERS, a two-time Super Bowl winner who was 1994 Defensive Player of the Year and an eight-time Pro Bowler who holds the NFL record with 18 career return touchdowns are on the set in Philadelphia. Coverage also includes news-breaking reporter ADAM SCHEFTER, who is in his fifth season with NFL Network after an award-winning newspaper career in Denver. Senior producer BARDIA SHAH-RAIS joins coordinating director JEN LOVE on the pregame, halftime and postgame shows. MARK MAYER is coordinating producer of the pregame, halftime and postgame shows. ERIC WEINBERGER is executive producer of NFL Network.
