MLB Network Radio visits all 30 MLB Spring Training camps March 1-30
Mad Dog Radio to broadcast from 14 Cactus League and Grapefruit League sites
NEW YORK – February 28, 2012 – Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced today the broadcast plans for its annual MLB Spring Training Tour, which will begin March 1 and provide fans nationwide with an in-depth and comprehensive look at all 30 Major League Baseball clubs as they prepare for the 2012 season.
SiriusXM’s 24-hour baseball talk channel, MLB Network Radio, and its all-sports talk channel, Mad Dog Radio, will broadcast live from ballparks in Arizona and Florida and present one-on-one interviews with managers, players and executives from every MLB team.
MLB Network Radio will visit all 30 spring training sites from March 1-30. Former Reds and Nationals general manager Jim Bowden and fellow host Casey Stern will broadcast from Arizona’s Cactus League ballparks from March 1-6 and March 16-24. Former Mets and Orioles general manager Jim Duquette and co-host Mike Ferrin will cover the west coast sites of Florida’s Grapefruit League from March 7-15 and the east coast locations from March 25-30. On Mad Dog Radio, channel 86, Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo will host his daily show, Mad Dog Unleashed, from Arizona locations from March 5-8, then will take his show to Florida for five Grapefruit League broadcasts March 19-23. The channel’s early show, Evan and Phillips in the Morning, hosted by Evan Cohen and former Mets general manager Steve Phillips, will broadcast from Florida parks from March 5-9.
