NHL PROVIDES VIEWERSHIP OPTIONS FOR TWO GAME 7s THURSDAY NIGHT

NEW YORK (May 13, 2009) – The National Hockey League today outlined the multiple platforms where fans in the U.S. and Canada are able to access Game 7 of the Anaheim Ducks-Detroit Red Wings 2009 Stanley Cup Playoff Conference Semifinal series and Game 7 of the Carolina Hurricanes-Boston Bruins 2009 Stanley Cup Playoff Conference Semifinal series on Thursday night.

Anaheim Ducks at Detroit Red Wings Game 7 – Thursday, May 14 at 7pm ET

In Canada, the Ducks-Red Wings Game 7 will be televised live nationally on CBC and RDS at 7pm ET. This is a network change from previous schedule announcements. The exchange of games between TSN and CBC successfully resolves a programming conflict on Thursday night, while still providing fans with complete national coverage of both deciding games.

In the U.S., VERSUS will televise the Ducks-Red Wings game as a national game to fans outside of the Detroit and Anaheim markets as previously announced. Fans in Detroit will be able to watch the game on Fox Sports Detroit. Fans in the Anaheim market will be able to watch the game on Prime Ticket.

All networks will be televising the game live and in HD.

Carolina Hurricanes at Boston Bruins Game 7 – Thursday, May 14 at 8pm ET

In Canada, the Hurricanes-Bruins Game 7 will be televised nationally on TSN and RIS at 8pm ET as previously announced.

In the U.S., VERSUS will ensure maximum national NHL coverage by joining the Hurricanes-Bruins Game 7 in progress for fans outside of the Boston and Carolina markets immediately upon the conclusion of the Ducks-Red Wings game.

Fans in the Boston market will be able to watch the game in its entirety on NESN, and fans in the local Carolina market will be able to see the game in its entirety on Fox Sports Carolinas.

All networks will be televising the game live and in HD.

Fans in the U.S. living outside of the local Carolina and Boston viewing areas will be able to watch Hurricanes-Bruins Game 7 in its entirety live on NHL Center Ice – the League’s out-of-market television subscription package. Fans who are not currently Center Ice subscribers should call their cable or satellite provider for details how to order.

For U.S. fans living outside of the local Carolina and Boston viewing areas, Hurricanes-Bruins Game 7 will be streamed in its entirety live online on NHL.com through a “Game Center Live Day Pass,” available for $19.95. For more information, visit http://www.nhl.com/gamecenter.
