MLB NETWORK ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE OF LIVE GAMES THROUGH SEPTEMBER 19
Network to Air Pennant Race Game Between Colorado Rockies & San Francisco Giants on September 15 at 10:00 p.m. ET with Matt Vasgersian & Joe Magrane
Additional Games Feature Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Boston Red Sox & Texas Rangers
Secaucus, N.J., September 15, 2009 – MLB Network today announced its live game schedule through September 19, featuring four live national game broadcasts. Today, September 15, will feature an MLB Network “Pennant Race” game, with the Colorado Rockies at San Francisco Giants at 10:00 p.m. ET with Matt Vasgersian and Joe Magrane calling the game. Viewers in the Rockies’ and Giants’ home television markets will see the Pittsburgh Pirates at Los Angeles Dodgers at 10:00 p.m. ET. As the game is not being broadcast in the Pirates’ home market, fans in the Pittsburgh area will be able to watch the game live on MLB Network, which will carry a simulcast of the KCAL feed.
This week’s Thursday Afternoon Baseball features the Kansas City Royals at Detroit Tigers on September 17 at 1:00 p.m. ET, which is not being broadcast in the Royals’ home market and will be available to Royals fans in the Kansas City area live on MLB Network, via a simulcast of the Fox Sports Detroit feed. Immediately following the game, MLB Tonight will come on live with Greg Amsinger, Barry Larkin, Clint Hurdle and Tom Verducci and lead into Thursday Night Baseball with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Boston Red Sox at 7:00 p.m. ET. MLB Network’s Victor Rojas and Mitch Williams will call the game from Fenway Park and viewers in the Angels’ and Red Sox’ home television markets will see the Washington Nationals at Philadelphia Phillies at 7:00 p.m. ET. This week’s Saturday Night Baseball will showcase the Angels at Texas Rangers at 9:00 p.m. ET.
Additional live games will be announced coinciding with MLB Network’s selection windows. Thursday Afternoon Baseball and Saturday Night Baseball games will be simulcasts of local broadcasts, including local announcers. Games will be blacked out in each team’s home television territory unless otherwise noted. Viewers in areas subject to blackouts will be provided with alternate programming.
