Starting, Nov. 16, longtime Boston radio voice will be heard nationwide on Mad Dog Sports Radio
NEW YORK – November 14, 2013 – Sirius XM Radio announced today that Glenn Ordway, the former longtime Boston sports radio voice, has joined the roster of hosts on Mad Dog Sports Radio, channel 86, where he will host Saturday and Sunday mornings starting November 16.
The Big Weekend Show with Glenn Ordway will air every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 to 11:00 am ET and showcase Ordway’s take on the national sports scene and the headline stories of the week.
Ordway was a prominent sports radio voice in Boston for more than three decades, best known for his 13 seasons as a commentator for Boston Celtics radio broadcasts and as the creator and host of the highly-rated drive time program The Big Show. Ordway gained prominence as a sports talk show host with the launch of the popular show Sportscall on Boston’s WRKO in 1981. In 1987 he moved on to WEEI and worked at the station for 27 years as both a host and programming executive. Ordway hosted the popular Big Show from 1995 until 2013, he has been a regular fill-in host on The Dan Patrick Show and is a three-time finalist for a Marconi Award in the category of “Major Market Personality of the Year.”
