The New York Yankees host the Chicago White Sox on “Sunday MLB on TBS”
Cy Young Award Winner John Smoltz Joins the TBS Booth as an Analyst
“Sunday MLB on TBS” continues on April 25 with a match-up featuring Derek Jeter and the New York Yankees hosting Paul Konerko and the Chicago White Sox at 1 p.m. (ET). Phil Hughes is scheduled to start for the Yankees against the White Sox probable starter Mark Buehrle. Eight-time NL All-Star and winner of the 1996 Cy Young Award, John Smoltz will join the TBS booth as an analyst for the first time during the regular season and will be joined by Brian Anderson (play-by-play) and Ron Darling (analyst) to call the action.
“Sunday MLB on TBS” includes match-ups on TBS every Sunday afternoon throughout the regular season. The network will also exclusively televise the MLB All-Star Selection Show on Sunday, July 4. Additionally, beginning in October TBS will once again provide exclusive coverage of the Division Series and the American League Championship Series (ALCS).
TBS has broadcast MLB coverage for more than 30 years serving as the exclusive home of the MLB Division Series (DS) and one League Championship Series (LCS) since 2007 and home of Atlanta Braves coverage from 1977 to 2007.
