Saturday’s Golden State Warriors’ victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder generated the largest audience ever for a regular-season NBA game on WatchESPN. The game had nearly 14 million total minutes viewed (13,968,000), 314,900 unique viewers and an average minute audience of 94,400.
According to Nielsen, Saturday’s telecast generated a 2.4 metered market rating on ESPN, making it ESPN’s highest-rated NBA regular-season game (non-Christmas) since October 31, 2014 (3.1 for Cleveland-Chicago opening week telecast). It is also ESPN’s highest-rated, NBA regular-season game ever on a Saturday, excluding Christmas.
