Race fans nationwide can tune in on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio
NEW YORK – June 6, 2011 – Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Tony Stewart will return to Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) to host a special edition of Tony Stewart Live from Eldora Speedway, Stewart’s dirt track in Rossburg, Ohio, tomorrow, June 7 (7:00 – 9:00 pm ET).
The broadcast will be available to listeners nationwide on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90 on Sirius and XM Premier (formerly known as “The Best of Sirius”).
The show airs the night before Stewart’s annual “Prelude to the Dream,” the all-star dirt Late Model race that will be run at the half-mile, dirt oval and features some of racing’s best drivers including IZOD IndyCar Series driver Tony Kanaan, former Motocross and Supercross star Ricky Carmichael, NASCAR’s Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Clint Bowyer, Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, Brian Vickers, Ryan Newman, Kasey Kahne, Ray Evernham, Stewart and others.
On the program, Stewart and co-host Matt Yocum will offer a preview of the Prelude, take calls from race fans across the country, and discuss the current NASCAR season.
The Prelude to the Dream event will be broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View® with net proceeds from the telecast supporting four of the nation’s top children’s hospitals: Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Tony Stewart Live airs on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio at various times during the year, including during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ Champion’s Week, where Stewart and Yocum host their annual season-ending “Stewie Awards” broadcast.
