More Than 7.8 Million Viewers; Network’s Ratings Up 16% Over 2011 WCF

TNT Nets Second Most-Viewed NBA Playoffs Ever

TNT’s coverage of the 2012 Western Conference Finals (WCF) between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs – two of the smallest cities among the 56 metered markets with Oklahoma City ranking 44^th and San Antonio 36^th – averaged a 5.0 U.S. HH rating and 7,823,000 viewers. The network’s coverage of the Western Conference Finals is up 16 percent in U.S. HH rating (vs. 4.3) and 13 percent among viewers (vs. 6,939,000) compared with last year’s WCF between the Thunder and Dallas Mavericks.

TNT’s coverage of last night’s Western Conference Finals Game 6 – Oklahoma City’s 107-99 series-clinching win over San Antonio – generated a 6.0 fast national rating and 9,498,000 viewers. The telecast is up 30 percent in rating (vs. 4.8) and 16 percent among viewers (8,154,000) compared to the network’s last Game 6 between the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns in 2010.

Last night’s telecast averaged a 34.9 metered market rating in Oklahoma City, the top-rated local market, and a 26.7 in San Antonio.

• TNT won the night three times vs. broadcast networks among viewers, households and P25-54 and four times among P18-49 and M25-54.
• TNT won the night (cable and broadcast) five times among key demos (P18-34, M18-34 and M18-49).
• TNT won the night four times vs. ad-supported cable among viewers, households, P18-49, P25-54 and M25-54.

Overall, TNT’s coverage of the 2012 NBA Playoffs delivered the network’s second most-viewed and second highest-rated playoffs in its 28-year history with the league. TNT’s 42 telecasts averaged a 3.1 U.S. HH rating; 3,599,000 households and 4,819,000 viewers.
