TNT’s Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal to Draft BBVA Rising Stars Challenge Teams;
State Farm All-Star Saturday Night Participants Announced Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. ET
NBA on TNT Doubleheader to Feature Lakers vs. Celtics and Bulls vs. Nuggets Beginning at 8 p.m.
Sports Emmy Award-winning host Ernie Johnson will host a special edition of TNT’s NBA Tip-Off presented by Autotrader.com pregame show with analysts Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. ET. The one-hour show will include Barkley and O’Neal drafting their respective BBVA Rising Stars Challenge teams, as well as the exclusive unveiling of the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night participants.
Barkley and O’Neal will serve as general managers for the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, an event featuring some of the top young talent in the game including Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving, Portland’s Damian Lillard, New Orleans’ Anthony Davis and Washington’s Bradley Beal. The BBVA Rising Stars Challenge will be televised exclusively on TNT, as part of the network’s exclusive coverage of 2013 NBA All-Star in Houston, on Friday, Feb. 15, at 9 p.m.
The pre-game show will also include the exclusive announcement of the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night participants competing in events including the Sears Shooting Stars competition, Taco Bell Skills Challenge, Foot Locker Three-Point Contest and Sprite Slam Dunk. TNT will exclusively televise State Farm All-Star Saturday Night on Saturday, Feb. 16, with coverage beginning at 8 p.m.
This week’s NBA on TNT doubleheader will feature exclusive coverage of the Los Angeles Lakers at Boston Celtics at 8 p.m., followed by the Denver Nuggets hosting the Chicago Bulls at 10:30 p.m. Marv Albert will call the Lakers/Celtics game with analyst Steve Kerr and reporter Craig Sager. Kevin Harlan will provide play-by-play for the Bulls/Nuggets game with analyst Reggie Miller and reporter Marty Snider. Inside the NBA presented by Hyundai with Johnson, Barkley, O’Neal and Smith will air immediately following the doubleheader and recap the night’s action.
