TNT and NBA TV’s Extensive First Round Coverage of the 2011 NBA Playoffs Continues
TNT’s coverage of the NBA Playoffs continues Saturday, April 23 with a doubleheader. The day’s action tips off at 2 p.m. (ET) with a special 30 minute edition of NBA Tip-Off presented by AutoTrader.com with Ernie Johnson (host), Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith (analysts). Following the pre-game show, Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls will visit Danny Granger and the Indiana Pacers at 2:30 p.m. (ET). The Bulls can sweep the Pacers and advance to the second round with a win. Dick Stockton (play-by-play), Mike Fratello (analyst) and Jaime Maggio (reporter) will call the game. In the second game of the day, Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks will take on LaMarcus Aldridge and the Portland Trail Blazers at 5:30 p.m. (ET) for Game 4 of the series. Matt Devlin (play-by-play) and Kevin McHale (analyst) will be courtside with Marty Snider (reporter). The night will conclude with the Emmy® award-winning studio show Inside the NBA presented by Hyundai with Johnson, Barkley and Smith.
The NBA on TNT continues on Sunday, April 24 with another first-round doubleheader. NBA Tip-Off presented by AutoTrader.com will preview the night’s action at 6:30 p.m. (ET) with Johnson, Barkley, Smith and Chris Webber. The first game will follow at 7 p.m. (ET) featuring Joe Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks hosting Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic in Game 4 of their series. Marv Albert (play-by-play), Steve Kerr (analyst) will call the game with Craig Sager reporting. The second game will see Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers taking on Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets at 9:30 p.m. (ET) for Game 4 of the series. Kevin Harlan (play-by-play), Reggie Miller (analyst) will be courtside with Cheryl Miller (reporter). To finish the evening’s coverage, Johnson, Barkley, Smith and Webber will break down the action on Inside the NBA presented by Hyundai.
NBA TV will also continue to provide extensive coverage of the playoffs beginning tonight, April 22 at 6:30 p.m. (ET) with host Rick Kamla and analysts Dennis Scott and Jerry Stackhouse previewing the night’s action on NBA Gametime presented by Hyundai. Beginning at 9:30 p.m. (ET), Kamla, Scott and Stackhouse will recap the games and air all post-game press conferences in their entirety on NBA Gametime. NBA TV’s 1,500 hours of wall-to-wall coverage over approximately 65 days will include live first round action, 195 hours of live studio coverage, pre and postgame analysis, press conferences, complete game playbacks of every playoff game, and encore presentations of NBA GameTime.
Extensive coverage of the playoffs will continue on NBA TV on Saturday, April 23 with the AutoTrader.com Pregame Show at 1 p.m. (ET).
