The People Have Spoken: Grizzlies @ Lakers chosen for First NBA TV Fan Night of the Season

The vote is in and the people have spoken, for the first week of NBA TV’s Fan Night presented by 2K Sports’ NBA 2K11. The Memphis Grizzlies @ L.A. Lakers was voted as the match-up of the week by fans on NBA.com. The game will air on Election Night Tues., Nov. 2 at 10:30 p.m. (ET) with host Ernie Johnson and analysts Chris Webber and Kevin McHale on-hand for studio coverage beginning at 10:00 p.m. (ET).

Fan Night presented by 2K Sports’ NBA 2K11 voting will continue on nba.com/fannight from Tues., Nov. 2 (8 a.m. ET) – Thurs., Nov.4 (Midnight ET) as fans select the match-up for Tues., Nov. 9 between:

· Denver Nuggets @ Indianapolis Pacers

· Utah Jazz @ Miami Heat

· New York Knicks @ Milwaukee Bucks

· Los Angeles Clippers @ New Orleans Hornets

· Minnesota Timberwolves @ L.A. Lakers

Tipping off on Tuesday is The Jump presented by 2K Sports’ NBA 2K11, a live, interactive show designed for the ultimate NBA fan.  Fans can submit questions and comments via NBA.com, Facebook or Twitter.  Host Kyle Montgomery, analysts Dennis Scott, Brent Barry and ‘chat-master’ Sekou Smith will respond and give their comments and analysis on everything happening around the league. The show will stream live each week with its first show of the new season on Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. (ET) on NBA.com and then airing at 5:00 p.m. (ET) on NBA TV.

The Beat will return to prep fans for game action with the show  that covers news and storylines across the league with host Marc Fein, regular contributors David Aldridge and SLAM’s Lang Whitaker, as well as reporters from across the country.  The Beat airs Nov. 2 at 6:00 p.m. (ET).

In addition, NBA Backstage, the show that gives viewers an all-access pass to the memorable events during the NBA season airs, on Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m (ET). NBA Backstage treats fans to a behind the scenes look at the first two games of the season featuring the Heat, Celtics, Rockets and Lakers and the memorable moments that will help define the new season.

NBA TV will also feature live games on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 9:00 p.m. (ET) with the Denver Nuggets at Dallas Mavericks and on Sunday, Nov.7 at 7:00 p.m. (ET) with the Boston Celtics @ Oklahoma City Thunder.
