NEW YORK (August 15, 2012) – On this week’s episode of THE FRANCHISE: A SEASON WITH THE MIAMI MARLINS, SHOWTIME and Major League Baseball Productions take you behind the scenes of a homecoming for current and former Miami Marlins. In the midst of an impressive hitting streak, Jose Reyes returns to New York while playing his former team, the New York Mets, and visits his favorite tattoo parlor on Long Island. It is also a homecoming for recently traded Hanley Ramirez, who returns to Miami with his new team, the Los Angeles Dodgers. The episode features exclusive footage capturing Ramirez’s reunion with his former teammates and the reception he received from the fans in Miami. Also featured in Wednesday’s episode, Marlins All-Star Giancarlo Stanton returned to the lineup with a bang after missing a month due to knee surgery and a compelling segment on Logan Morrison’s season-long knee troubles and his efforts to play through the pain. Finally, cameras were rolling as catcher John Buck invites a Washington, D.C., cab driver from Africa to take in a game against the Nationals and capture his first impressions of Major League Baseball.
