TNT NBA Thursday continues on April 7 with an exclusive doubleheader beginning at 8 p.m. (ET). The first game will feature an Eastern Conference match-up when Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls host Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics. Play-by-play announcer Marv Albert will call the game alongside analyst Mike Fratello with Craig Sager reporting. In the second game of the night, LaMarcus Aldridge and the Portland Trail Blazers will visit Al Jefferson and the Utah Jazz at 10:30 p.m. (ET). Kevin Harlan (play-by-play) and Reggie Miller (analyst) will be courtside with David Aldridge reporting. The Emmy® award-winning studio show Inside the NBA presented by Hyundai with Ernie Johnson, Kevin McHale and Steve Smith will recap the night’s action.
The 2010-11 season of the NBA on TNT is the most-watched season in Turner’s 27 years of airing NBA coverage. Through 48 games, the NBA on TNT is averaging a 1.6 U.S. household rating (+45% vs. 1.1 for last year’s corresponding coverage); 2,445,000 total viewers (+42% vs. 1,724,000); and 1,820,000 households (+39% vs. 1,314,000). In addition, this season’s audience is 30% larger than Turner’s second-best regular-season audience from 1995-96 (1,885,000).
