STAMFORD, Conn. – August 4, 2022 – Sydney McLaughlin, Noah Lyles, Michael Norman, and Grant Holloway – all four of whom won individual gold medals at the World Track & Field Championships Oregon22 in July – headline NBC Sports’ live coverage of the 2022 Diamond League track & field season this week, with the series’ ninth and tenth competitions from Silesia in Poland and Monaco. McLaughlin, fresh off breaking her own 400m hurdles world record at the World Track & Field Championships Oregon22 with a blistering 50.68, will be competing in her first Diamond League competition since 2019. McLaughlin has run the three fastest times ever in the women’s 400m hurdles.
Additional Team USA athletes who won medals at the recent World Championships include Chase Ealey, Erriyon Knighton, Sandi Morris, Kara Winger, Trayvon Bromell, and Kenny Bednarek.
Live action begins in Silesia on Saturday, August 6, at 10 a.m. ET on Peacock and CNBC. Diamond League competition continues from Monaco on Wednesday, August 10, at 2 p.m. ET on Peacock.
SILESIA DIAMOND LEAGUE – SATURDAY, AUGUST 6
2022 400m world champion and Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Michael Norman headlines an elite crew of American Olympians and World Championship medalists that are set to compete at the Silesian Stadium. Norman is expected to race 2022 World Championship silver medalist Kirani James (Grenada) in a rematch of their world championship duel in Eugene last month.
In the 100m, 2022 World Championship silver medalist Marvin Bracy-Williams, bronze medalist Trayvon Bromell, and 2019 world champion Christian Coleman are all expected to toe the line, while 2022 100m world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce (Jamaica) looks to continue her dominant summer in the women’s race.
2022 world champion Chase Ealey, who won gold in the women’s shot put, is expected to compete, as well as 2022 World Championship silver medalist Kara Winger in the women’s javelin. On the international side, 2022 world champions Shericka Jackson (Jamaica), Alison Dos Santos (Brazil), and Shaunae Miller-Uibo (Bahamas) are all expected to race.
NBC Sports’ Paul Swangard will call the event, joined by four-time Olympic gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross and two-time Olympic marathoner Des Linden.

MONACO DIAMOND LEAGUE – WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10
2022 400m hurdles world champion and world record holder Sydney McLaughlin, competing in her first Diamond League competition since 2019, is expected to headline this meet for the Americans. McLaughlin ran a world record 50.68 in Eugene last month to claim her first individual world championship and has broken the world record an astonishing four times.
In the men’s 200m, it will be a world championship rematch as all three medalists are expected to toe the line – world champion Noah Lyles, silver medalist Kenny Bednarek, and bronze medalist Erriyon Knighton – along with 400m world champion Michael Norman. Other notable athletes include 2022 110m hurdles world champion Grant Holloway, who is expected to compete in his signature race, while Grant Fisher will drop down in distance and race the 3000m. 2022 World Championship pole vault silver medalist Sandi Morris looks to win her fourth Diamond League competition of the season.
On the international side, world champion and world record holder Yulimar Rojas (Venezuela) and world champions Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce (Jamaica), Shericka Jackson (Jamaica), and Faith Kipyegon (Kenya) are all expected to compete.
