Live race broadcast will air Saturday on satellite radios and on the SiriusXM App
Listeners also get daily news and analysis leading up to race day
NEW YORK – May 13, 2014 – SiriusXM will offer listeners nationwide a live broadcast of the Preakness Stakes from Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, MD, this Saturday, May 17, as Kentucky Derby winner California Chrome will attempt to capture the second jewel of thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown.
SiriusXM listeners will hear Horse Racing Radio Network’s broadcast starting at 5:00 pm ET on Sirius channel 93 and XM channel 208 on satellite radios, and on channel 961 on the SiriusXM Internet Radio App and online at SiriusXM.com.
Leading up to race day, SiriusXM’s horse racing talk shows will provide listeners with daily news and analysis.
At The Races with Steve Byk will air every weekday from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm ET featuring daily interviews with handicapping experts and trainers and an in-depth look at the field.
On Saturday a special edition of Down The Stretch, hosted by acclaimed track announcer Dave Johnson and Bill Finley,will air live starting at 10:00 am ET. Johnson and Finley will take calls from listeners and provide fans with race day news and analysis, as well as interviews with jockeys, trainers and owners.
SiriusXM subscribers get live coverage of all three races of the Triple Crown. Listeners get HRRN’s call of the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont Stakes happening on June 7.
