The PGA Championship perennially showcases the strongest field in golf. Currently, all 103 of the top players in the Official World Golf Ranking are in the field for the 94th PGA Championship. The event will be played for the first time in its long history at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, which hosted the 1991 Ryder Cup and boasts stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and shifting winds that demand imagination and constant adaptation from the competitors in their club selection and shot making.
This year’s field includes the world’s top-ranked player, Luke Donald, four-time PGA Champion and World #2 Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, who won the 2012 Open Championship last month, 2012 Masters Champion Bubba Watson, reigning U.S. Open Champion Webb Simpson, 2005 PGA Champion Phil Mickelson, plus Rory McIlroy, Lee Westwood and many more of the world’s best golfers. Keegan Bradley is the defending PGA Champion, having won at the Atlanta Athletic Club last year. Bradley enters the Championship coming off a victory yesterday in the World Golf Championships – Bridgestone Invitational.
In the days leading up to the Championship, SiriusXM’s hosts will provide golf fans with daily discussions and analysis of this year’s field. Fairways of Life with Matt Adams will air live Monday through Friday at 7:00 am ET. Brian Katrek hosts Teed Off Monday through Wednesday at 9:00 ET. John Maginnes will host his nightly show, Maginnes on Tap, Monday through Wednesday at 5:00 pm ET and Thursday and Friday at 7:00 pm ET. Listeners can also tune in on Tuesday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm ET to hear live coverage of player press conferences from the media center.
