MLB Network Radio channel broadcasts live from Kansas City July 7-10

NEW YORK – June 28, 2012 – Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced today that it will offer baseball fans comprehensive coverage of 2012 Major League Baseball All-Star Week from Kansas City, MO, July 7-10.
SiriusXM will carry the national broadcast of both the 83rd All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 10 (8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT), and the State Farm Home Run Derby on Monday, July 9 (8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT), live on XM channel 176. SiriusXM subscribers can also hear these events live through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App for smartphones and other mobile devices and online at SiriusXM.com.
On Sunday, July 8, SiriusXM will offer the exclusive radio broadcast of the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, featuring the top minor league prospects from the U.S. and abroad. Coverage will begin at 4:30pm ET/3:30pm CT (XM channel 89, SiriusXM Internet Radio App, SiriusXM.com). Mike Ferrin will be the play-by-play voice for the Futures Game broadcast and former Major League GM Jim Duquette will be the analyst. Grant Paulsen will provide reports from on the field and in the dugouts. Paulsen will host a special edition of his weekly show, Minors & Majors, live from the ballpark (2:00pm ET/1:00pm CT) leading into the SiriusXM All-Stars Futures pre-game.
On Monday and Tuesday, July 9-10, MLB Network Radio – channel 89 on XM and channel 209 on Sirius Premier (formerly known as “The Best of XM”) – will offer listeners extensive pre- and post-event coverage featuring one-on-one interviews with current and former All-Stars, managers, coaches and other personalities from around the game.
Monday’s coverage has former All-Star Cliff Floyd, former GM Jim Bowden and Casey Stern teaming up for hosting duties starting at 5:00pm ET/4:00pm CT. On Tuesday, Stern, Duquette and Bowden will host SiriusXM’s coverage starting at 5:00pm ET/4:00pm CT. Following the events, Bowden and Duquette will provide analysis and Stern will be on the field for postgame reaction.
In the days before, the MLB Network Radio channel will broadcast live from the MLB All-Star FanFest at the Kansas City Convention Center and other locations.
Listeners will hear a special broadcast on Sunday, July 8, from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City before the “They Were All Stars” reunion event. Cliff Floyd, Jim Bowden and Casey Stern will host live from the museum (10:00am ET/9:00am CT) and will interview several of the former stars in attendance.
On Monday, July 9 (12:00pm ET/11:00am CT), Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. and Bill Ripken will host their exclusive show, Ripken Baseball, from MLB All-Star FanFest, where they will take questions from fans in attendance and talk live on set with MLB Commissioner Bud Selig.
