STAMFORD, Conn. – March 19, 2018 – NBC Sports presents seven NHL games in seven days this week, highlighted by a “Battle of Pennsylvania” tilt in the NHL Game of the Week, when Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins host Claude Giroux and the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday at 12 p.m. ET on NBC.
This week’s Wednesday Night Rivalry matchup pits Brad Marchand and the Boston Bruins against Alex Pietrangelo and the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN. AJ Mleczko, who was a member of the U.S. women’s hockey team that won a gold medal in the inaugural Olympic tournament in 1998, will serve as an analyst during NBCSN’s coverage of Wednesday Night Rivalry, alongside Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick (play-by-play) and Pierre McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst).
This week’s NHL coverage on NBCSN begins tonight at 8 p.m. ET, when Eric Staal and the Minnesota Wild host Anze Kopitar and the Los Angeles Kings, as both teams battle for playoff spots in the Western Conference. Coverage continues on Tuesday, as Dylan Larkin and the Detroit Red Wings host the Flyers at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Thursday features an NBCSN doubleheader, as the ever-dangerous Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals visit the Red Wings at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by a clash between the Vegas Golden Knights and San Jose Sharks – the top two teams in the Pacific Division – at 10 p.m. ET.
Coverage concludes Sunday night with a matchup between the Bruins and Wild at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

FLYERS-PENGUINS – SUNDAY AT 12 P.M. ET ON NBC
The Penguins (41-26-5, 87 pts) improved to 5-1-1 in their last seven games with a 5-3 win over the Montréal Canadiens on Thursday. Patric Hornqvist notched two goals and an assist to reach 400 points for his career. With the victory, the Penguins kept pace in the Metropolitan Division and currently sit just two points behind the first-place Capitals.
The Flyers (37-25-11, 85 pts) defeated the Washington Capitals, 6-3, on Sunday to move within four points of the top spot in the Metropolitan Division. Wayne Simmonds netted two goals and Jakub Voracek, who ranks second in the NHL in assists, added a goal and assist in the win.
This marks the third installment of the “Battle of Pennsylvania” this season. The Penguins won the previous two games.
Emrick (play-by-play), former player, coach and general manager Mike Milbury (analyst) and McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst) will call Flyers-Penguins from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT RIVALRY – BRUINS-BLUES AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Bruins (45-17-8, 98 pts) improved to 8-2-0 in their last 10 games with a 3-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday. Boston is four points back of Tampa Bay for first in the Atlantic Division.
The Blues (39-28-5, 83 pts) defeated the Chicago Blackhawks, 5-4, in overtime on Sunday to move within one point of a wild card spot in the Western Conference. Pietrangelo’s 11 points in the last 10 days rank tied for first in the NHL.
Emrick (play-by-play), Mleczko (analyst) and McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst) will call Bruins-Blues from Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
KINGS-WILD – TONIGHT AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Kings (39-27-6, 84 pts) are 4-3-1 in their last eight games and currently hold the second wild card spot in the Western Conference. Los Angeles looks to rebound from a 3-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday. Through 72 games, Kopitar leads the team in both points (80) and goals (29).
The Wild (41-24-7, 89 pts) added to their third-place lead in the Central Division with a 3-1 victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday. Goalie Devan Dubnyk recorded 30 saves and notched his 200th career NHL victory in the win.
John Forslund (play-by-play) and Jim Fox (analyst) will call Kings-Wild from Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
FLYERS-RED WINGS – TUESDAY AT 7:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Red Wings (26-35-11, 63 pts) look to snap their 10-game losing streak on Tuesday. Larkin leads the team in both points (50) and assists (41).
Former Red Wings goaltender Petr Mrazek was traded to the Flyers on Feb. 19, and has won five games with Philadelphia since the trade, including the Flyers’ 6-3 win against Washington on Sunday.
Ken Daniels (play-by-play) and Brian Boucher (‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst) will call Flyers-Red Wings from Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
CAPITALS-RED WINGS – THURSDAY AT 7:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Capitals (41-24-7, 89 pts) are 4-1-0 in their last five games and currently sit two points ahead of the Penguins for first place in the Metropolitan Division. Washington aims to rebound from a 6-3 loss to Philadelphia on Sunday. Ovechkin netted his 43rd goal of the season in the defeat.
This marks the third matchup between the Capitals and Red Wings this season, with each team winning once in overtime.

GOLDEN KNIGHTS-SHARKS – THURSDAY AT 10 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Golden Knights (46-21-5, 97 pts) are 4-2-0 in their last six games and are currently first in the Pacific Division. William Karlsson recorded a hat trick and Marc-Andre Fleury made 42 saves as Vegas defeated Calgary, 4-0, on Sunday.
The Sharks (40-23-9, 89 pts) extended their lead for second in the Pacific Division with a 5-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday. Timo Meier contributed two goals in the victory.
Randy Hahn (play-by-play) and Shane Hnidy (‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst) will call Golden Knights-Sharks from SAP Center in San Jose, Calif.
BRUINS-WILD – SUNDAY AT 7:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Bruins defeated the Wild, 5-3, in November in the only matchup between the two teams this season.
