On Sunday, January 6, 2013, the Baltimore-Washington, D.C region was at the epicenter of the sports world.
In the early afternoon, the Baltimore Ravens hosted the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC playoffs. The postseason game had a significant backdrop as it would be Baltimore icon and Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis’ last home game due to his impending retirement.
In the early evening, the spotlight shifted south to Landover, Maryland as rookie sensation Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins took on the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC playoffs. The postseason matchup was the Redskins first home playoff game since the turn of the new millennium.
