A.L. Division Leaders Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers Match Up on August 23 & 25
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Visit Rangers in A.L. West Showdown on August 26 & 27
Secaucus, N.J., August 15, 2011 – In a potential Postseason matchup, the A.L. West first-place Texas Rangers host the A.L. East first-place Boston Red Sox on Tuesday, August 23 at 8:00 p.m. ET, part of MLB Network’s live game schedule for August 22 – 27. The Rangers will face the Red Sox once again during Thursday Night Baseball on Thursday, August 25 at 8:00 p.m. ET, with MLB Network’s Matt Vasgersian and Joe Magrane calling the game live from Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
The Philadelphia Phillies, who have won eight of their last ten games, take on the New York Mets on Monday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. ET live from Citizens Bank Park. Day baseball will be featured on Thursday, August 25 when the New York Yankees, who trail the Red Sox by a half-game in the A.L. East, match up against the Oakland Athletics at 1:00 p.m. ET. Viewers in select markets will see the A.L. Central first-place Detroit Tigers visit the Tampa Bay Rays at 1:00 p.m. ET, which will be available on MLB Network in the Rays’ home television territory. Rounding out the week, the intensity in the A.L. West heats up when the second-place Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim face off against the Rangers on Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
