Quick Quotes:
“Yes I would have been able to play for Bill Parcells.”
– Deion Sanders
“The problem I have with Bill Parcells is him quitting. I don’t like guys quitting. If you sign up for something, finish the job get the job done. Don’t quit. It is a three-year formula, he goes in, gets his three years and then he quits and walks out of there with a bucket full of money. I don’t like that part of it ”
– Deion Sanders on Bill Parcells
“Everyone but T.O”
– Jay Glazer on the Cincinnati Bengals problems
“Their team this year has almost been like a merry-go-round of guys screwing up.”
– Jay Glazer on what’s wrong with the Cincinnati Bengals
“I don’t know how good they are, but I know they’re not as bad as they have been when you’re talking about seven straight years of double-digit losses.”
– Brian Billick on the first place Oakland Raiders
“Whenever you have to come to my house and convince me to leave my home and play football, deep down in my heart I really don’t want to play, but I really don’t want to let you down.”
– Deion Sanders on the Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre
“I’m not ready to say he’s the best quarterback in the league, but I believe he’s playing the position as well as anyone in the league.”
– Kurt Warner on Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick
“Offensive Player of the Year right now. Not MVP as of yet.”
– Sterling Sharpe on if Vick is the MVP of the league
“I think the edge has to go to the Philadelphia Eagles until the Giants defense can prove it can stop the deep passes that the Dallas (Cowboys) seemed to get at will.”
– Sterling Sharpe on the matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants on Sunday
“I believe because of how’s played so far, he’s going to get the San Diego Chargers back into the playoffs where we thought they would be all along.”
– Sterling Sharpe on the performance of San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers
“When we look at the Patriots on defense, we don’t see a confident team.”

Chicago Bears-Miami Dolphins Pregame Analysis and Quotes
“It’s not impossible for Tyler to come out and play well against this Bears defense. When I look at the Bears defense, I see a defense that’s pretty vanilla. They let you know what they’re going to do.”
– Marshall Faulk on Miami Dolphins QB Tyler Thigpen making the start against the Chicago Bears
“He’s a quarterback hunter, and he will be hunting tonight.”
– Deion Sanders on Chicago Bears defensive end Julius Peppers
“Just knowing (Bears offensive coordinator) Mike Martz and what he likes to do, he basically rode Matt Forte early in the year and now he wants this offensive line to start protecting so they can throw the ball down the field.”
– Marshall Faulk on the Chicago Bears offense
“He reminds me a lot of a young Michael Irvin. Vibrant, (has) the passion. He runs all routes – he can get deep, runs across the middle. He knows how to push off, like Michael Irvin used to.”
– Deion Sanders on Miami Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall
“He’s doing a heck of a job with what he’s been given as far as the scheme and the quarterback situation.”
– Steve Mariucci on Miami Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall
“I like the way the Bears are starting to come together. Defensively they’ve been solid. Offensively, you get the sense that Mike Martz is making headway with the guys and they’re understanding what the coach wants. That’s the most important thing.”
– Joe Theismann on the Chicago Bears, who sit tied atop the NFC North standings
“That’s how the Bears are 6-3: special teams and defense while the offense grows.”
– Steve Mariucci on how the Chicago Bears have had success
“This guy needs to put up better numbers, he needs to be more disciplined, and he needs to be a better leader. I don’t think these guys really follow this guy as a leader.”
– Deion Sanders on Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler
“When he gets his first read and has to make that first play with his big arm and his great ability, he’s been tremendous. Where he’s struggled is getting from one to (second option) to (third option) and staying within time in this offense.”
– Kurt Warner on Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler’s strengths and weaknesses
“When he’s on, he’s as good as just about anybody. He’s been a Pro Bowler, he plays like a Pro Bowler at times, but he lacks the consistency.”
– Steve Mariucci on Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler
“I don’t believe a ‘must-win’ is anything other than a playoff game or something that gets you in or out of the playoffs, but this is about as close as you’re going to get to it.”
– Steve Mariucci on if this is a must-win game for the Miami Dolphins
“I don’t think this will be too big for him.”
– Brian Billick on Tyler Thigpen starting at quarterback for the Miami Dolphins
“Tyler Thigpen has the ability to extend plays. That’s something you haven’t seen earlier from the Miami Dolphins.”
– Joe Theismann on what Tyler Thigpen brings to the Miami Dolphins offense
Select Quotes from sneak peek of Bill Parcells: Reflections on a Life in Football

– Bill Parcells
“I still like this game for some reason.”
– Bill Parcells
“The overriding factor that keeps him coming back is the juice of competition.”
– Dan Henning
From Jay Glazer:
On the perception that Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith is on the hot-seat…
It’s amazing. It drives the players in that locker room crazy. Brian Urlacher said to me today “We’re kind of used to this. Every year something goes wrong here in Chicago, Lovie Smith is on the hot seat.” Lovie is a realist. He understood also where he had to this season get to in order for him to come back. But like I said, it drives the players in that locker room crazy. When you talk to Brian Urlacher, talk to Lance Briggs, they say the great thing about Lovie Smith is you always know you’re going to get the truth from that guy, and that’s not the same for a lot of head coaches. Brian made a great point, he said “Usually when a coach gets that head coaching job, he changes. Lovie Smith has never changed. He’s been the same guy that he’s always been since I’ve been here.” It’s the same exact Lovie Smith but yet he’s on the firing line year in and year out.
