Peacock to Present Its First Live Sport Event, Beginning Next Saturday, June 20 with Bournemouth v. Crystal Palace

STAMFORD, Conn. – June 10, 2020 – NBC Sports kicks off nearly 80 hours of live coverage through July 2 in the Premier League’s return to action with a pair of matches next Wednesday, June 17 – the first of 35 days of live games in a 40-day stretch to conclude the 2019-20 season.
The week’s coverage begins Wednesday, June 17 at Noon ET on NBCSN, with Premier League Live, followed by the first match of the resumed 2019-20 Premier League season – 19th-place Aston Villa, looking to avoid relegation, host seventh-place surprise Sheffield United, at 1 p.m. ET. Then at 3:15 p.m. ET on NBCSN and Universo, second-place Manchester City host ninth-place Arsenal.

Coverage on Saturday, June 20 begins with Premier League Live at Noon ET on NBCSN, followed by Norwich City v. Southampton at 1 p.m. ET. Then at 3:15 p.m. ET, eighth-place Tottenham host fifth-place Manchester United, who trail fourth-place Chelsea by three points.
The opening weekend of play begins next Saturday, June 20 with Premier League Mornings at 7 a.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by Watford v. third-place Leicester City at 7:30 a.m. ET, and ninth-place Arsenal visiting Brighton at 10 a.m. ET (NBCSN, Universo). Coverage switches to NBC and Telemundo at 12:30 p.m. ET as sixth-place Wolverhampton Wanderers visit West Ham, looking for their first win over Wolves in all competitions since the 2016 FA Cup.
Peacock – NBCUniversal’s new streaming service – will also mark the debut of live sports on the platform with the Premier League’s return. Beginning next Saturday, June 20 at 2:45 p.m. ET, with Crystal Palace, aiming to move into the top half of the table, visiting a Bournemouth side looking to avoid relegation, Peacock will stream all live matches currently available via NBC Sports Gold’s “Premier League Pass,” including seven games in the first three matchweeks (schedule below). Premier League matches are included with Peacock Premium, which is currently available to Comcast’s Xfinity X1 and Flex customers across the country. Peacock will launch nationally with free and premium tiers across mobile, web and connected TV devices on July 15.
A two-hour Premier League Mornings begins next Sunday, June 21 at 7 a.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by Newcastle v. Sheffield United at 9 a.m. ET. U.S. Men’s National Team star Christian Pulisic could make his first appearance for Chelsea since New Year’s Day, after recovering from a thigh injury, as the fourth-place Blues visit Aston Villa on Sunday, June 21 at 11:15 a.m. ET on NBCSN and Telemundo. Then at 2 p.m. ET on NBC and Telemundo, Liverpool continue their run to their first championship in England’s top flight in 30 years, as they face Everton in the Merseyside Derby.
Coverage concludes on Monday, June 22 with Premier League Live at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by second-place Manchester City hosting Burnley at 3 p.m. ET (NBCSN, Universo).
Rebecca Lowe hosts next week’s Goal Zone, Premier League Mornings, and Premier League Live, joined by former Jamaica National Team player Robbie Earle, former Premier League footballer Robbie Mustoe, and former USMNT player Kyle Martino. The telecast marks the first in-studio show since March from NBC Sports’ International Broadcast Center in Stamford, CT.
This weekend’s Premier League coverage features a return-to-play preview with a 30-minute special, Premier League Preview – Match Week 30, airing this Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN. Also this weekend, classic Premier League content begins Saturday, June 13 at 6 a.m. ET, with 12 hours of programming highlighted by five matches, including two Liverpool victories from this season against Manchester City and Manchester United.
Saturday’s coverage kicks off at 6 a.m. ET on NBCSN with a 2018 episode of the series, Off Script, where Lowe sits down with Graeme Le Saux, former Chelsea defender and current NBC Sports Premier League commentator, who discusses his life and career. Starting at 7 a.m. ET on NBCSN, Premier League Season So Far features this season’s top storylines and moments from Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United, thus far. Premier League Season in Review, highlighted by the top storylines and action from this season, airs Sunday at 10:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN.

In an encore presentation of The Managers Special: Jurgen Klopp airing this Sunday at 10 a.m. ET, Jurgen Klopp recounts some of his most memorable Premier League games in charge of Liverpool, including his first-ever PL win – at Chelsea in October 2015 – and a 3-1 victory over two-time defending champions Manchester City from earlier this season.
